About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Director of Operations - Dallas Facility. This role is pivotal to driving operational efficiency, cost savings, and building a high-performing team aligned with our business goals.

This role is onsite at our Roanoke Dallas location.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage inbound, work-in-process, and outbound operations. 
  • Implement automation throughout the warehouse to ensure consistency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish and execute a vision for team growth and development by recruiting, training, and coaching warehouse employees for career advancement. 
  • Manage employee performance reviews, payroll, and policy enforcement while fostering a culture of collaboration, high standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure daily management of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for accurate and efficient workflows.
  • Manage, track, and maintain tight inventory controls.
  • Implement 5S principles to ensure a clean and organized work environment

We're looking for someone who:

  • 7+ years of direct management experience in a high-volume distribution center.
  • 5+ years of experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC) operations
  • 5+ years of experience in retail operations
  • Proven expertise in opening new distribution centers.
  • Experience with safety, loss prevention, and facilities management.
  • Demonstrated success in driving shipping/fulfillment/transportation efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Proficient in WMS (e.g., Fulfill.IO), Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Has strong written and oral communication skills, including presentations and generating financial/operational reports.
  • Skilled in optimizing inventory control procedures.
  • Hands-on leadership with a deep understanding of operational roles.
  • Fast and thorough, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Team-focused mindset, building success from all levels of the organization.
  • Big-picture thinking coupled with detail-oriented execution.

Bonus points for:

  • Previous experience in a direct-to-consumer (D2C) startup environment
  • Prior experience with Food and Beverage products
