About the role

We’re hiring a Director of Product, International to lead Grüns international product strategy, compliance, and execution as we expand into new global markets. This role owns the end-to-end international product lifecycle—from understanding local consumer needs and regulatory requirements to managing formulation adaptations, packaging, and market launches.

As Grüns scales globally, international product complexity increases significantly. This role exists to ensure our products are not only compliant, but compelling, competitive, and well-positioned in each market. You’ll serve as the product and regulatory authority for international markets, partnering closely with R&D, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and external partners to bring products to market smoothly and at speed.

Location:

While this role is part of our global remote HQ, we feel a candidate based in or around Europe will be most successful in this role.

The team members you’ll be working with most closely are in US time zones, so we ask that you are comfortable working a way that allows for some overlap in working hours to collaborate.

More generally, we operate in a fully remote, high trust environment with teammates across multiple countries and time zones. While we work async by default, we come together in person twice a year for offsites that help us connect, align, and build real relationships IRL.

In this role, you will:

  • Own international product strategy across current and future markets, deeply understanding local consumer behavior, preferences, and market dynamics.
  • Lead all international regulatory and compliance efforts, including product registration, certifications, labeling requirements, and market-specific regulations.
  • Scope and manage formulation adaptations required for international markets, partnering with R&D and co-manufacturers to execute launches on time and compliantly.
  • Own international packaging direction, including artwork reviews, translations, claims validation, and regulatory sign-off.
  • Serve as the international product expert for cross-functional teams, providing guidance on product decisions, tradeoffs, and feasibility.
  • Act as the go-to partner for Marketing on international product claims and messaging, ensuring compliance and accuracy without sacrificing brand clarity or performance.
  • Build and maintain a clear operating model for how international product work integrates with the broader Product organization.
  • Hire, develop, and lead an international product team capable of supporting rapid global expansion.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 8–12 years of product management and compliance experience, with 6+ years owning international product launches.
  • Brings direct experience launching food or supplement products internationally, ideally as part of a US-based company expanding abroad.
  • Has deep familiarity with international regulatory frameworks for food or supplements across multiple regions.
  • Is experienced in managing complex, cross-functional launch programs spanning R&D, manufacturing, compliance, and marketing.
  • Has owned packaging and labeling compliance end-to-end, including claims, translations, and artwork approvals.
  • Has worked closely with co-manufacturers and external regulatory consultants.
  • Has people management experience and is excited to build and scale a team.
