The Role

We are looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist who combines:

You will not only deploy campaigns — you will help design, optimize and scale customer engagement systems that create value for both the client and Capptus.

Your mission is simple:

“Ensure that every message sent through SFMC is technically flawless, strategically intentional, data-driven, and aligned to measurable business outcomes.”

What You Will Own

1. Intelligent Campaign Execution

  • Configure, test and deploy batch and automated campaigns in Email Studio
  • Build journeys in Journey Builder aligned with defined lifecycle strategies
  • Ensure flawless QA, deliverability, tracking and performance measurement
  • Maintain technical excellence under pressure and deadlines

But beyond execution:

  • Question the segmentation logic
  • Challenge unclear objectives
  • Detect inconsistencies before they become business problems
  • Protect the client’s brand and Capptus’ reputation through excellence

2. Data & Architecture Discipline

You will treat data as infrastructure, not just as lists.

  • Manage Data Extensions (structure, keys, relationships)
  • Understand Contact Builder and data model logic
  • Support proper subscriber governance and consent models
  • Ensure scalability, cleanliness and integrity of campaign data

You understand that:

Poor data architecture today becomes operational chaos tomorrow.

3. Personalization & Automation with Intent

  • Implement dynamic content using AMPscript
  • Support automation workflows in Automation Studio
  • Execute multi-step omnichannel journeys

But more importantly:

  • Ensure personalization is meaningful, not decorative
  • Avoid complexity for complexity’s sake
  • Balance sophistication with maintainability

4. AI-First Marketing Execution

We expect you to actively use AI tools to:

  • Optimize subject lines and content variants
  • Improve segmentation hypotheses
  • Enhance QA processes
  • Accelerate performance analysis
  • Generate testing ideas (A/B, multivariate)

You should constantly ask:

How can AI help me execute better, faster, and smarter — without lowering quality?

5. Performance, Insight & Business Impact

  • Monitor KPIs (Open Rate, CTR, Conversion, Bounce, Revenue when applicable)
  • Extract reports and contribute to performance insights
  • Identify anomalies and improvement opportunities
  • Understand the business objective behind each campaign

What You Bring

Academic Background

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Systems Engineering or related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience).

Technical Competencies

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Mastery

  • Journey Builder (multistep lifecycle flows)
  • Email Studio & Content Builder
  • Automation Studio
  • Mobile Studio (SMS/Push)
  • AMPscript (dynamic personalization)
  • Basic SQL (highly valued)

Data & Deliverability

  • Data Extensions configuration
  • Contact Builder understanding
  • Subscription models & preference centers
  • Sender Authentication Package (SPF, DKIM, IP/domain setup)
  • Rendering tools (Litmus / Email on Acid)
