About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying potential customers. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to drive sales pipeline, revenue growth, and expand our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media engagement, and networking.
- Qualifying Leads: Assess and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns to determine their potential as viable sales opportunities.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with prospective customers to understand their needs, pain points, and business objectives, and effectively communicate Gruve’s value proposition.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings for the sales team with qualified prospects, ensuring meeting documentation, a smooth handoff, and seamless transition.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify key industry trends, potential customers, and competitive landscape.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to develop and refine strategies for lead generation and conversion.
- Performance Metrics: Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, qualified leads, meetings set, and opportunities created.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in a sales development, business development, or related role, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales Skills: Strong understanding of the sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, and lead nurturing.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation tools.
- Self-Motivated: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a strong work ethic.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new sales strategies, tools, and market conditions.
