Senior Systems Engineer
What Impact You'll Have
The Senior Systems Engineer works closely with clients within the Army Technical Services for Army Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) Space ISR missions to establish solutions to 1) support the customer’s mission and make it successful, 2) broaden the impact of technology to its business, and 3) help shape the TENCAP architecture by identifying new implementation opportunities. Individuals in this position must be able to proactively craft, propose and implement configured solutions that address critical challenges and mission requirements faced by our customers.
What You'll be Owning

The Senior Systems Engineer develops and manages systems level requirements, develops operational systems concepts, originating design concepts or performing systems level integration and test for highly complex systems. Interacts with systems users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design. Participates in the developments of test strategies. Solves engineering problems in the functional area to which assigned. Plans and performs engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications; supervises team of engineers through project completion; responsible for major technical/engineering projects of higher complexity and importance than those normally assigned to less experienced engineers; coordinates the activities of engineers assigned to specific engineering projects; and may perform other duties as assigned.
What You Must Have
- Master’s degree and 10 years of experience. 8 years of work experience, OR a Bachelor's plus 4 years of experience, may be substituted for a Master's Degree.
- Degree in Engr., Sci, Business; Computer Science or Related Scientific or Technical Discipline.
- Eight years of progressively complex experience in software design, development, integration, and testing for DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) systems.
- Seven years in a software engineering position working on DoD programs/projects.
- Seven years in a software engineering management position leading a technical team working on DoD or IC programs/projects.
- Strong, persuasive communication skills; ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers
- Active TS/SCI clearance (eligibility required).
- US Citizenship is required
What Would be Nice to Have
- Experience with Army TENCAP, Space ISR systems, or expeditionary ground station concepts.
- Experience briefing senior military or civilian leadership.
