As a Lead Management Project Specialist on the U.S. Air Force Lead Management team, you are responsible for planning and overseeing software development projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. You will work across internal, client, and vendor partner teams to plan, define technical requirements and scope, write and manage contracts, monitor progress, receive invoices, maintain relationships and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process.

We are looking for an individual who will support the Lead Management team in building enterprise level solutions for data management, CRM operations, and lead generation marketing for the Air Force Recruiting Services. You will be instrumental in spearheading and championing the development and deployment of marketing and data capture solutions that support the U.S. Air Force recruiters by expediently providing them with accurate and actionable  lead data to serve the mission and support Air Force Recruiting Services in meeting their recruiting goals.

The majority of projects will center around development in a Salesforce Environment. This role is unique in that you will be working in partnership with our developmental  partner, made up of a team of Salesforce admins, developers, system architects, business analysts and project managers. You will also work closely with our internal web and digital production teams to build integrated, multi-channel solutions for our client. This is a client-facing role, so you will  need to understand the solutions that we are building for our client and be able to explain them in a way that is clear and easy to understand even for stakeholders who may not have a dedicated technical background . 

Responsibilities

  • Manage software development projects from project inception to successful completion, leading the orderly progression of projects from the proposal stage through project completion by interacting with client, GSD&M internal teams, external vendor partners.
  • Works with stakeholders to document or develop project scope, goals, and deliverables, including project dependencies, project plans, budget proposals, communications plan, project scope, project timeline, and milestones.
  • Manages, tracks, and resolves cross-project dependencies, risks, issues/conflicts, and change requests to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
  • Drives communication with project stakeholders to effectively communicate project expectations and status in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports.
  • Developing and delivering presentations to key stakeholders as needed.
  • Conducts project post-implementation meetings and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Holds and/or attends regular project meetings, and teleconferences associated with assigned projects.
  • Monitors the project budget and schedule.
  • Projects and plans for successful user acceptance testing and rollout to meet end user needs and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors’ degree in the field of Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business.
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination implementing smaller scale projects.
  • 3+ years of experience and knowledge of project management practices and techniques, including plan development, scope and change control management, work breakdown structure.
  • Strong organization skills to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and work independently in a demanding, dynamic environment.
  • Able to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and deal with a diverse set of problems.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills to validate the requirements/scope of a project and present information to stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze alternative solutions and work independently to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Technical ability to understand complex systems and manage cross-program dependencies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a plus.
  • Experience or understanding of CRM/Salesforce a plus.
  • Background in scrum or agile development a plus.
  • Knowledge of Trello or Jira a plus.
