As a Programmatic Supervisor, you’ll take the lead in overseeing the execution of programmatic media campaigns, campaign management, and optimization for our clients. You’ll work closely with the Digital Associate Media Director and will be instrumental in developing go-to-market strategies, leading a team of Programmatic Campaign Managers, and collaborating with GSD&M’s Decision Sciences team to ensure accurate data exchange and measurement.

You’ll be responsible for managing complex full-funnel campaigns—with a heavy emphasis on lead generation and immersive brand initiatives leveraging emerging technology. You are a strategic, analytical thinker with extensive hands-on DSP experience, and a strong mentor who’s passionate about developing your team and driving results.

Responsibilities 

  • Programmatic Campaign Leadership: Oversee flawless execution and optimization of full-funnel paid programmatic campaigns, ensuring alignment with client goals and agency standards.
  • Strategy Development: Support the Associate Media Director in crafting programmatic and direct IO strategies for annual and ad-hoc plans.
  • Budget & Pacing Management: Monitor campaign budgets and pacing, making proactive recommendations to maximize effectiveness.
  • Platform & Inventory Evaluation: Assess inventory sources, data solutions, and technology platforms to recommend the best options in the marketplace.
  • Audience Strategy: Partner on the development of audience strategies and work with ad tech partners to activate and optimize audience segments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal planning, analytics, creative, account management, and Ad Ops teams, as well as clients and external vendors.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze campaign data, prepare actionable insights, and communicate findings clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Client & Stakeholder Education: Prepare and present client-facing reports and educational sessions for both digital and non-digital stakeholders.
  • Team Development: Manage and mentor Digital Campaign Managers, fostering professional growth and skill development.

Skills 

  • 4-5 years overall experience in digital media buying and/or planning
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in activating programmatic media via self-serve DSPs
  • 1+ years of experience in activating paid social campaigns a benefit
  • 2+ years managing a team of direct reports
  • Strong working knowledge of ad serving platforms, online analytics solutions, tagging, and tracking technologies
  • Meticulous attention to detail; able to dig deep into data while keeping sight of strategic priorities
  • Experience building and organizing data for analysis and optimizations
  • An appetite for data, knowledge and a desire to constantly enhance your skill set
  • Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and ongoing work items; while effectively managing changing priorities
  • Strong appetite for ongoing learning, skill development, and staying up-to-date on industry trends
  • Experience presenting to clients, both virtually and in-person
