Temp/Freelance Role through 04/16/26 – Potential for Full-Time

  • DEPARTMENT: Account Leadership
  • REPORTS TO: Account Director
  • TRAVEL: Must be willing to travel during the week and weekends 25% of the year (estimated)

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
  • LOCATION: Austin

 

Position Function: 

The Account Manager serves as a critical conduit between clients and internal teams — acting as the keeper of timelines, the translator of client objectives, and an advocate for creative and strategic excellence. This position requires a confident yet non-aggressive leader who understands how to drive process and productivity while managing nuanced client relationships with grace.

In this role, you will not only lead integrated marketing efforts but also specialize in experiential activations, event partnerships, sponsorship programs, and brand experiences that connect emotionally with audiences. You’ll thrive in collaboration, communication, and coordination across disciplines to bring creative ideas to life — from kickoff to execution and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client teams and key sponsorship/experiential partners.
  • Foster trust-based relationships by understanding business goals and proactively providing solutions.
  • Manage communication and expectation-setting across all touchpoints — internal and external.

Experiential & Event Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of brand experiences, events, and sponsorship activations — from planning through to logistics, on-site support, and post-event wrap-ups.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (creative, strategy, production, media, and social) to ensure timely and cohesive delivery.
  • Track deliverables, coordinate vendor partnerships, develop run-of-show documents, and support event compliance and logistics.

Project Management & Internal Leadership

  • Translate client needs into clear internal briefs and actionable project plans.
  • Anticipate roadblocks, identify opportunities, and help the team pivot when needed.

Performance & Reporting

  • Track and analyze campaign/event KPIs and success metrics; deliver thoughtful and data-backed reporting to clients.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and post-campaign recaps to inform future initiatives and long-term planning.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • 5+ years of agency experience (preferred) or related communication industry experience that provides an understanding of advertising, marketing, paid and social media, creative, production, research, direct marketing, finance, etc.
  • BA required with a preferred concentration in advertising, communications or marketing
  • Video content production experience, including TV, Social
  • Financial planning experience (annual budgets, etc.) 
  • Strong presentation and writing skills
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Management experience and team-building skills
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented in a production intensive environment
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite or Mac equivalent.
