POSITION OVERVIEW

GS Power Partners is seeking a collaborative, highly driven and results-oriented professional for a summer internship for its Finance department. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop financial acumen, enhance analytical skills, and gain exposure to the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for renewable energy development, work independently and will be an important contributor to our dynamic team.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Assist in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budget forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling for solar projects
  • Support accounting operations by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and managing invoices
  • Track project expenditures and analyze cost efficiencies to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Work with fellow interns across departments on summer research project

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Highly proficient in excel
  • Detail orientated and self-starter mindset
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sage lntacct knowledge and/or experience a plus, not required

EDUCATION

  • Applicants should be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program focused on Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Juniors and Seniors preferred

POSITION LOCATION

  • The position is located three days a week in NYC & one day a week in Stamford, CT

COMPENSATION

  • $20 - $23 per hour,  working 4 days a week (Monday- Thursday)
