PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION SUMMARY: 

GTB is responsible for managing the advertising (both traditional & digital), creative, strategy, analytics, & strategic partnerships for the Oklahoma Ford Dealers Advertising Fund. The Oklahoma Ford Dealers Association represents the 56 Ford dealerships across Oklahoma who contribute to a central advertising fund managed by an elected Board of Directors. 

The Account Manager (AM) is a key member of the Account Services team and is a client facing role to the Oklahoma Ford Dealers Board.

The Account Manager will report directly to the Account Director for the Oklahoma FDAF. The job requires a mix of external client management and internal project management as the Account Manager will be involved in almost every aspect of client business. 

Internally, the AM will be an integral cog and responsible for serving as the “day to day” lead between GTB departments, vendors, partners, and clients. They will also organize and be a part of monthly Board Meetings. High level organizational skills are an absolute must and the right candidate will have a positive “go-getting” attitude.

Externally, the AM will be a client facing contact to the Oklahoma Ford Dealers Advertising Board. The AM will attend and present at monthly Board Meetings, accompany the AD on regular dealer visits, work closely with AD and major advertising partners in the market (Sports Teams, Media Partners, etc.) and be one of the key “faces” of the agency.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • The nature of the AM’s position requires ongoing and frequent interactions with agency teams, clients and external vendors/partners
  • Internal to Agency – the AM has daily contact with and provides clear project direction on deliverables and timelines to all team members in Account Services, Media Services, Strategy/Analytics, Creative Services, Operations, and Production departments
  • External to Agency – the AM has contact with partners regarding contracted assets for client sponsorships and promotions, as well as provides regular updates for dealer clients. 
  • Monthly Board Meetings with occasional travel to attend client meetings
    • Includes meeting preparation, client hospitality and presentations
  • Develops relationships with clients managing their expectations and needs
  • Proactively identify opportunities based on key insights to enhance advertising plans, activations assets, marketing plans, and processes to deliver results. 

OTHER ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

  • Manage internal processes including the creative production process, trafficking of advertisements, management of traditional and digital media plans, assisting with budgeting, and keeping all aspects of the account organized.
  • Manage budgets, tracking, and administration of program costs and internal processing
  • Manage creative production & traffic process and ensure quality control
  • Recommend measures to improve work process methods, performance, and quality of product
  • Review and update status trackers and internal reports.
  • Facilitate special requests as needed (internal agency and client information requests)
  • Maintain and support all company standards as specified within the Quality Management System. 
  • Supports/facilitates the mandatory adherence to ISO9001 requirements, processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Be knowledgeable and proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams and able to learn additional internal applications. Experience with media software a plus.
  • Experience with Digital & Social Media campaigns from planning, implementation & measurement of performance. 
  • Must be creative, analytical, highly organized with strong project management skills.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail with tremendous organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional listening and communications skills 
  • Deliver clear, concise, and accurate messages both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work both remotely and in the downtown Houston office. Also, must be able to travel when needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years minimum of relevant marketing, media, or agency experience preferably as an AE, AAE or Jr. AE. Automotive, Retail, Media, or Direct Response advertising a plus.
