THE OPPORTUNITY

Account Manager, Carolina Ford Dealer Advertising Association (FDAA). Position based in the Carolinas.

The Carolina FDAA Account Manager (AM) is a key member of the Southeast Market Area team and works under the direction of the Carolina Account Lead. The AM is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the account, including overseeing production, planning, traffic, reporting, sponsorships/activations, and budgets. The AM also supports the Account Lead in developing strategy and maintaining strong working relationships with partners and clients to maintain and grow the business. The duties of the position will include making regular presentations before clients (both in-person and virtually) so comfort with public speaking is a must.

About this role

  • GTB is responsible for managing the advertising (both traditional & digital), creative, strategy, analytics, and strategic partnerships for the Carolina FDAA. The Carolina FDAA represents the Ford dealerships across the Carolinas who contribute to a central advertising fund managed by an elected Board of Directors. 
  • The AM will be an integral team member and responsible for serving as the “day-to-day” lead between GTB departments, vendors, partners and clients.
    • Internal – the AM has daily contact with and provides clear, succinct direction to all team members including Analytics, Account Services, Creative Services, Operations, Media, Print and Broadcast Production department and Financial Services, etc.
    • External – the AM has contact with clients and vendors regarding materials for client promotions and sponsorships, as well as provides regular updates for dealer clients.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Coordinate monthly Dealer Board meeting logistics, invitations and hospitality for dealers, Ford, Ford Credit, and agency.
  • Compile and give presentations in meetings (including digital War Rooms, Executive Committee, and other Subcommittee meetings).
  • Develop relationships with clients managing their expectations and needs.
  • Proactively identify opportunities based on key campaign insights to enhance advertising plans, activation assets, marketing plans, and processes to deliver results.
  • Initiate the creative production process through production requests for various creative deliverables and write creative briefs as needed.
  • Manage sponsorship asset fulfillment, including LED Ribbons, Print Ads, Radio Spots, In-Stadium Signage, ROS Banners, IPTV, Pre-Roll, social media posts, giveaways, etc. Track and disperse associated sponsorship tickets. Assist with contract process.
  • Manage internal processes including trafficking of advertisements, management of traditional and digital media plans, assisting with billing, and keeping all aspects of the account organized.
  • Manage budgets, tracking, and administration of program costs and internal processing.
  • Recommend measures to improve work process methods, performance, and quality of product.
  • Review and update status trackers and internal reports.
  • Facilitate special requests as needed (internal agency and client information requests).
  • List maintenance: Client contact and email distribution lists, Board of Director List, Key Contacts, etc.
  • Coordinate and assemble client-facing emails for meeting notices, incentives, monthly newsletter, etc.
  • Prepare incentive/offer updates as needed and communicate appropriately.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Be knowledgeable and proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams and able to learn additional internal applications. Experience with media software a plus.
  • Experience with Digital & Social Media campaigns from planning, implementation & measurement of performance. 
  • Must be creative, analytical, highly organized with strong project management skills.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Exceptional listening and communications skills. Deliver clear, concise, and accurate messages both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work both remotely and/or in the Charlotte, NC co-working space.
  • Must be able to travel bi-monthly for CFDAA board meetings and when required for client visits, production shoots, etc. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years minimum of relevant marketing, media, or agency experience preferably as an AE, AAE or Jr. AE. Automotive, Retail, Media, or Direct Response advertising a plus.
