Here are the problems you’ll be solving

The Senior Sales Planner role at Grocery TV is a key position within the RevOps team, responsible for managing the entire sales planning process from new opportunity to deal close. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in digital media planning, strong technical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams including Media Sales, Marketing, Data, and Finance. Key responsibilities include overseeing the RFP process, implementing packaging and pricing strategies, and ensuring seamless campaign execution. This position offers growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding team and provides exposure to multiple areas of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sales planning process, and improve it over time by working closely with the Rev Ops Team Lead and the Head of Media Sales.
  • Oversee the RFP process from proposal generation to order entry, using internal and external templates while managing time and internal deadlines to meet plan due dates.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Media Sales, Marketing, Data, and Finance, on client proposals, presentations, requests, and contract management.
  • Work with Ad Ops to ensure seamless campaign handoffs, execute campaigns, manage reporting, and handle client requests.
  • Implement packaging and pricing strategies by working with the Rev Ops Team, including pulling available inventory and recommending ad placements based on client objectives.
  • Prepare, attend, and follow up on customer meetings by working closely with media sellers to review relevant industry and account-specific information.
  • Ensure the CRM is accurate and up-to-date by working with the Rev Ops Manager and Media Sales team.
  • Own Management of Sales Planning Tools including external media buying platforms and explore potential new tools to drive team efficiency.
  • Provide backup customer support for the Media Sales team as needed.
  • Handle campaign revisions, including incremental opportunities, optimizations, make-goods, and cancellations.
  • Support a dedicated book of business, including all customer communication, sales planning, and campaign reporting.

Growth opportunities

  • You’ll play a key role in shaping the expansion of the sales planning team as our media sales team grows and requires support from multiple sales planners
  • You’ll join our sales team on their customer meetings, get to know our customers, and learn how we sell media campaigns at Grocery TV
  • You’ll work closely with individuals across the company and learn about Rev Ops, Media Sales, Marketing, Data, and Finance.

Qualifications

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in digital media planning and/or account management experience, both pre-sale and post sale experience.
  • You have experience in customer facing roles and 
  • Experience with client-facing roles and enjoys being out in client meetings and events
  • You are a skilled communicator, knows how to share updates and progress effectively with internal teams, and is comfortable communicating tactfully with external clients
  • You’re proficient with CRMs (Hubspot), spreadsheets (Google Sheets), and BI tools (Looker)
  • You have an analytical mind, strong quantitative skills, and high attention to detail.
  • You’re a strong project manager that communicates proactively and consistently delivers.
  • You’re organized, have a proven history of meeting deadlines and manage to stay composed even in the face of shifting priorities.
  • You’re self-driven, resourceful and comfortable operating in a startup environment, and have high ambitions to grow your career
  • Bonus: You’re passionate and knowledgeable about the grocery industry and retail media.

Compensation

As a part of our commitment to transparency, we use a market-based formula that provides consistency across roles & experience levels and publish all of our compensation data internally for our team. We’re open to a range of experience levels for this position. Here are the annual salaries for each level:

  • Senior Sales Planner: $105,000
