Here are the problems you’ll be solving
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping, securing, and scaling our cloud infrastructure. You will empower our engineering teams with more efficient development environments, drive cost savings, and fortify our system’s security posture. Through a combination of strategy, execution, and hands-on development, you’ll enable faster deployments and a more resilient, observable platform.
Responsibilities

- Infrastructure Ownership: Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Pulumi and Terraform to support scalable and secure application environments.
- Security & Compliance: Audit existing infrastructure for vulnerabilities, drive security best practices, and ensure system compliance to protect against security threats.
- Deployment Automation: Own and streamline the CI/CD process using tools like GitHub Actions to enable faster, safer, and more consistent releases.
- Observability & Monitoring: Lead efforts to improve observability using Datadog, Grafana, and other tools, ensuring uptime and proactive issue detection.
- Technical Enablement: Support the engineering team’s development workflow by creating efficient, isolated development environments and optimizing inter-service communication.

Qualifications
- 5+ years as a DevOps engineer, working in agile environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities
- Willingness to be in office 3 days a week
- Fluency in AWS infrastructure, including ECS, S3, networking, and managed services.
- Experience with the following (or similar) technologies: Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi/Terraform), Datadog, Grafana, one backend programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, etc.)
Nice-to-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes to manage and deploy containers at scale.
- Ability to audit, test, and strengthen security controls within infrastructure and application layers.
- Experience with event-driven infrastructure, queuing systems, and tools like Kafka or AWS SNS/SQS.
- Experience in load testing and traffic simulations to ensure system scalability and reliability.
Compensation
As a part of our commitment to transparency, we use a market-based formula that provides consistency across roles & experience levels and publish all of our compensation data internally for our team. We’re open to a range of experience levels for this position. Here are the annual salaries for each level:
- Senior DevOps Engineer II: $178,000
