What we need:  

We are looking for a Director of Treasury to establish and drive Guardian's comprehensive cash management, working capital optimization, and treasury across its portfolio of operating companies. This hands-on leadership role will be responsible for building scalable treasury processes from the ground up, actively driving DSO reduction and DPO extension initiatives, and providing strategic cash visibility to support acquisition growth and value creation objectives. The Director of Treasury will start as a highly capable individual contributor and may have the opportunity to manage a team as Treasury and Cash Management operations mature and standardize across the platform.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Active DSO Reduction Leadership - Drive systematic initiatives to compress Days Sales Outstanding from current 60-80 day average to 30-35 day target through billing process standardization, collections automation, customer credit management, and AR aging optimization across portfolio companies 
  • DPO Extension & Vendor Management - Lead strategic initiatives to extend Days Payable Outstanding from 10-15 days to 45+ days through vendor term negotiations, payment timing optimization, virtual card programs, and strategic supplier relationship management 
  • Banking & Liquidity Operations - Manage all banking relationships, credit facilities, and liquidity arrangements; execute daily cash positioning, intercompany transfers, and debt covenant compliance; optimize banking structure and fees across the portfolio 
  • Strategic Cash Management & Forecasting - Lead refinement and maintenance of enterprise-wide cash forecasting (weekly/13-week rolling), optimize cash positioning across all entities, and establish treasury policies and procedures that support business growth and acquisition financing
  • Treasury Systems & Process Development - Evaluate and plan for treasury management systems (TMS), payment automation platforms, and cash visibility tools; establish scalable processes, controls, and reporting frameworks for multi-entity operations 
  • Financial Risk Management - Identify and mitigate financial risks including interest rate exposure and counterparty risk; oversee hedging strategies aligned with corporate policies 
  • M&A Integration & Due Diligence Support - Lead treasury aspects of acquisition due diligence, establish cash management processes for new acquisitions, and ensure seamless integration of treasury operations for new platform companies 
  • Additional responsibilities may include supporting corporate initiatives such as acquisition due diligence, special accounting projects, audit coordination, implementation of new accounting standards, and ad-hoc accounting analysis requests from senior management, as well as participation in monthly regional accounting meetings and quarterly business reviews with leadership team. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Experience managing 13-week cash flow forecasting Excel tools and providing weekly liquidity updates to Executive Management and Board of Directors
  • Progressive treasury, cash management, or corporate finance experience with increasing leadership responsibilities in multi-entity or multi-location treasury operations 
  • Proven success with working capital optimization, DSO/DPO improvement, and treasury systems implementation 
  • Prior experience and high-level knowledge of leveraging third party collections 
  • Experience with M&A integration and acquisition due diligence support is a plus 
  • Previous restoration industry and vendor relationship management experience highly preferred 
  • Ability to travel 10-25% to partner business locations around the country 

Skills that will make you successful in this role: 

  • Advanced knowledge of treasury and financial platforms, ERP integration, payment automation 
  • Cash forecasting, liquidity planning, multi-entity cash positioning 
  • DSO/DPO optimization, AR/AP process improvement, collections strategies 
  • Prior experience with bank relationship management, credit facility negotiation, covenant compliance 
  • Demonstrated history of identifying issues through reporting and monitoring of results 
  • Expertise in financial modeling, variance analysis, KPI development and tracking 
  • Team building, change management, cross-functional collaboration 
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau, API integrations, process automation 
  • Knowledge of interest rate hedging and counterparty risk

Compensation: 

Guardian is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $150,000-$185,000 + Bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified at any time. 

Location: Denver, Colorado strongly preferred, but open to candidates in the Mountain Time Zone or Central Time Zone.
