Financial Analyst
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for delivering financial insights that drive business performance, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing high-impact analysis for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and modeling skills, experience calculating commissions, and critical thinking ability.
This is a hybrid position out of our NYC office.
What You’ll Do:
- Help with the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process for several business units
- Calculate monthly and quarterly commissions. In diligent and organized way
- Perform detailed variance analysis and identify key trends affecting business performance
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for ROI analysis, and strategic initiatives
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for senior leadership
- Monitor KPIs, highlight risks and opportunities, and recommend actions for improvement
- Consolidate and present data from multiple sources using Excel
- Assist with financial planning system improvements and automation initiatives
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis, business cases, and special projects as needed
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
- 2–4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and forecasting methods
- Advanced Excel skills, experience with ERP and financial planning systems (Oracle, NetSuite, Hyperion)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively with senior management
What We Offer:
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000. Base salary may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
