General Description

GuidePoint Security is seeking a Cloud Security Operations Analyst to support the day-to-day business and delivery operations of our Cloud Practice. This role helps keep pipeline and project information accurate, produces useful reporting, coordinates across teams, and supports consistent processes that help our consultants and sales partners deliver exceptional client experiences.

The analyst will work closely with Cloud Practice leadership, delivery teams, Account Executives, and business operations partners. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, follow-through, comfort working with operational data, and the ability to identify issues and communicate them clearly. This is an individual contributor role focused on execution, analysis, and coordination rather than practice strategy, P&L ownership, or personnel management.

About the Cloud Practice

GuidePoint Security’s Cloud Practice helps clients strengthen security and improve outcomes across cloud platforms, SaaS environments, and automation and AI initiatives. The practice brings together specialists across Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, SaaS, and Automation & AI.

Our operations function supports the teams behind this work by improving visibility into opportunities, project delivery, resource needs, and client follow-up. We partner with practice leaders, consultants, sales teams, and other internal stakeholders to maintain reliable information and make routine work more consistent and effective.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, and trackers covering pipeline health, project activity, staffing, utilization, and other practice performance measures; highlight missing data, exceptions, and emerging trends.
  • Support resource planning and delivery forecasting by collecting availability, project timing, and demand inputs from practice leaders and delivery teams; flag potential conflicts or gaps for review.
  • Track stale or inactive opportunities, outstanding actions, and client follow-up activities.
  • Administer and summarize internal and client feedback surveys, identify actionable themes, and maintain trackers for improvement items and follow-through.
  • Support the Project-to-Partnership process by tracking project outcomes, follow-on opportunities, and engagement closeout actions in coordination with consultants and sales teams.
  • Maintain Cloud Practice operating procedures, shared documentation, templates, and reporting standards; identify practical ways to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.

Required Experience and Education

  • 5+ years of experience supporting business operations, project coordination, reporting, sales operations, or professional services delivery operations; applicable education or equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, including organizing data, maintaining trackers, and presenting clear, accurate summaries.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain detailed records, and communicate professionally with technical and nontechnical teams.
  • Comfort learning and using CRM, project tracking, collaboration, and reporting platforms.
  • Embraces emerging technologies, including AI tools, to work smarter, solve problems, and drive better business outcomes.

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business or a related field.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, cloud technology, IT consulting, or a professional services organization.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM and basic opportunity or pipeline reporting.
  • Experience supporting resource scheduling, project delivery, utilization tracking, or forecasting.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or other dashboard and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, SaaS, or cloud security service offerings; deep hands-on engineering expertise is not required.
  • Experience documenting processes, coordinating surveys, or supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25% travel.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work.
  • Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
