Bilingual Assistant Teacher
Bilingual Assistant Guide (English/Spanish), Guidepost Montessori at Prosperity
$16–$19/hour | Full-time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (closing shift)
¿Hablas español? ¡Te estamos buscando!
Do work that matters, every single day.
Picture a toddler asking for “agua, please,” or a three-year-old proudly zipping her own coat and announcing “¡Lo hice!” At Guidepost Montessori, moments like these happen all day long, and as a Bilingual Assistant Guide, you help make them possible.
We’re hiring warm, dependable bilingual (English/Spanish) Assistant Guides to join our team at Guidepost Montessori at Prosperity. Here, you’ll help children ages 0–6 build independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning, in two languages.
If you love working with young children and want to grow in a supportive, purpose-driven place, we’d love to meet you.
Your Impact
As a Bilingual Assistant Guide, you’ll support our Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House (ages 3–6) classrooms. You’ll help create a calm, engaging place where children explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.
Your Spanish matters here. Through everyday conversation, songs, stories, and routines, you’ll help children hear and use a second language naturally, at the age when they pick it up most easily. You’ll also help prepare beautiful, intentional learning spaces and support children in individual and small-group activities, always with respect, patience, and care.
As the closing-shift Assistant Guide, you’ll be a familiar, friendly face at the end of each day. You’ll help children wind down, keep the classroom calm and ready for tomorrow, and greet families at pickup.
Most importantly, you’ll help children build confidence and discover what they’re capable of.
What You’ll Do
- Speak with children in Spanish throughout the day so the language becomes a natural part of their routine
- Share songs, books, and cultural traditions that bring Spanish to life
- Observe children closely to understand and support each child’s needs
- Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom
- Support individual and small-group learning activities
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families, including Spanish-speaking families
- Work alongside Lead Guides and the rest of the team to build a strong classroom community
- Help close the classroom each afternoon and connect with families at pickup
What We’re Looking For
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, spoken
- Experience working with young children (infants through age 6) in a school or childcare setting
- Availability to work the Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM closing shift consistently
- A positive, flexible, and team-minded attitude
- A love for working with young children
- Curiosity about the Montessori approach (Montessori experience is welcome but not required; we’ll show you the ropes)
What We Offer
- $16–$19 per hour, based on experience
- Fully sponsored Montessori diploma training through the Prepared Montessorian Institute. You can earn a respected teaching credential without paying for it, which opens a path to becoming a Lead Guide.

- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Plenty of opportunities to grow and advance your career
