
Security and Help Desk Specialist

We’re looking for a Security and Help Desk Specialist to join our team and be the go-to expert for all things IT and mitigating cybersecurity risk. From setting up workstations to keeping our network safe, this role is essential to supporting our people and protecting our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure and Systems Support
- Maintain and troubleshoot local servers, networking equipment, Wi-Fi, and related infrastructure.
- Supports printers, conference room technology, and AV equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance, patching, and backups of key systems.
Help Desk/User Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT issues, hardware, software, network access and more.
- Set up and decommission workstations, phones, and user accounts.
- Track and resolve tickets in the help desk system.
Security & Access Control
Access Control - Manage badge access, camera systems, and physical security hardware for the local office.
- Security Monitoring:
Monitor the network for suspicious activity, security breaches, and vulnerabilities, using tools like firewalls and anti-virus software. - Security Implementation:
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security measures, such as access control lists, encryption, and intrusion detection systems. - Security Incident Response:
Investigate security incidents, report them to appropriate personnel, and assist in incident response efforts. .
- Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant security policies, industry standards, and regulations.
Requirements:
- 4 plus years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, or physical security systems.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and basic Linux environments
- Calm and professional demeanor when assisting internal users
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or similar certifications preferred
- Ability to lift and move hardware (up to 50 lbs)
