Senior Consultant - Business Systems Analyst
Location: Nashville, TN

Target Compensation Range: $130,000 to $170,000

As a Senior Consultant – Business Systems Analyst at The Gunter Group, you lead business systems workstreams and bring structure to complex, ambiguous challenges. You partner with stakeholders to define problems, shape solution approaches, and guide delivery across systems, processes, and data, ensuring outcomes are practical, scalable, and aligned with client needs.
Lead Analysis & System Solution Design
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of business systems within client engagements or workstreams
- Bring structure to highly ambiguous challenges by defining scope, approach, and solution direction
- Lead requirements strategy, including stakeholder interviews, workshops, and documentation
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, and system designs
- Own and drive key artifacts such as process maps, requirements, system specifications, and data/interface definitions
Business Process & Systems Strategy
- Analyze and redesign business processes and systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business goals
- Define future-state processes and system approaches in partnership with business and technical stakeholders
- Shape how data is used to inform decisions, validate solutions, and identify risks or opportunities
- Guide understanding of how data moves across systems, including integrations, transformations, and dependencies
Drive Solution Delivery & Technical Alignment
- Partner with technical teams to guide solution design, including system architecture, data models, and integration approaches
- Lead solution tradeoff discussions, balancing business needs, technical constraints, and delivery timelines
- Oversee testing and validation efforts, including UAT strategy and execution
- Lead and coordinate debugging, testing, and deployment of solutions, including participation in code quality processes and issue triage across systems
- Ensure delivered solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with intended outcomes
Client Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders, including senior leaders
- Facilitate alignment across business and technical teams, especially in complex or conflicting situations
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and influence decisions at multiple levels of the organization
- Operate effectively within consulting engagements, balancing client needs, timelines, and evolving priorities
- Mentor and support junior consultants and analysts within engagements
- Collaborate with TGG consultants and leadership to deliver high-quality client service
What You Bring
- 6+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related field, including consulting or client-facing experience
- Proven ability to lead workstreams and bring structure to complex, ambiguous problems
- Experience leading requirements efforts and shaping solution approaches across business and technical stakeholders
- Strong process analysis and system design capabilities, with the ability to connect business needs to scalable solutions
- Technical proficiency, including strong SQL skills and the ability to engage in discussions on system architecture, integrations, and data models
- Experience partnering with engineers to deliver solutions, navigate tradeoffs, and troubleshoot issues across systems and data
- Exceptionally strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions at multiple levels
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams and mentor others within engagements
- Familiarity with tools such as data visualization platforms, cloud environments, or scripting languages is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

The total expected compensation range for this role is $130,000 to $170,000, consisting of a base salary and variable billing bonus component. Additional compensation may be earned through contributions to account leadership and business development. We discuss compensation and bonus opportunities openly throughout the hiring process.
