About the Role

At Gusto, our People team is the foundation of everything we do. We believe that attracting, hiring, developing, and retaining talent is core to our success. As a Business Recruiter in this role, you’ll support full-cycle recruiting for the Revenue team with a specific focus on Marketing and Sales functions.

In this position, you’ll leverage your recruiting experience to support a range of searches across Marketing and Sales, including high-volume hiring for roles like Sales Development Representatives, mid-level and senior leadership in Marketing and Account Management, and specialized positions in Demand Generation and Sales Enablement. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers, play a key role in shaping Gusto’s Marketing and Sales recruiting strategy, and hire exceptional talent that will drive growth and impact.

This role is hybrid, with an expectation to work out of our Denver office approximately two days per week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage Full-Cycle Recruiting: Lead end-to-end recruitment for Marketing and Sales roles, ensuring seamless and efficient processes for both hiring managers and candidates.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers: Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leaders to understand their hiring needs, create customized recruitment strategies, and support organizational growth.
  • Attract Top Talent: Develop and execute creative strategies to source, engage, and hire top Marketing and Sales talent, including branding initiatives, events, and referral programs.
  • Deliver a Great Candidate Experience: Guide candidates through each stage of the hiring process, ensuring a positive and engaging experience from application to offer.
  • Build Talent Pipelines: Proactively develop and maintain robust talent pipelines for high-demand roles, supporting the team’s ongoing hiring needs.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with HR Business Partners, Compensation, and other internal teams to align on hiring strategies and ensure smooth processes.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Share feedback and insights to refine recruiting processes and help shape best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 Years of Experience: A minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience focused on Marketing and Sales roles.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with recruiting tools like Greenhouse, Workday, Gem, Calendly, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Experience in Fast-Growing Companies: Prior experience recruiting for high-growth, fast-paced environments is a plus.
  • Strong Partner and Advisor: Ability to provide consultative guidance to hiring managers, helping them make informed decisions throughout the process.
  • Sourcing and Closing Expertise: Proven skills in passive sourcing, pipeline building, and closing candidates from entry-level to senior roles.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Comfortable using metrics and data to inform decisions, track progress, and meet hiring targets.
  • Adaptable and Collaborative: Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is $94,000/year to $111,000/year in Denver. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.


Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. 

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
