Head of Growth

Austin, Texas, United States, Miami, Florida, United States, New York, New York, United States

About Us

  • The insurance broker is a critical, yet underleveraged asset within the healthcare value chain. Despite being the first point of contact for patients and providing critical guidance on everything from insurance plan selection to care navigation, many still rely on manual workflows and spreadsheets to run their business, and are unable to grow at their desired pace.

  • Gyde is building an AI-native brokerage platform by acquiring traditional agencies and supercharging them with workflow automation, voice and chat AI applications, and predictive product and plan selection guidance.

  • Our vision is to be the premier partner for ambitious agencies, streamlining their operations through the Gyde platform to enable their success in the current regulatory and technological paradigm shift.

  • Our founding team boasts pedigrees from Oscar, Stripe, Vista Equity Partners, Scale AI, and Spark Advisors. Lightspeed led Gyde’s Seed financing, with participation from Virtue and Crystal Venture Partners, and angels from Oscar, Uber, and more.

Role Summary

As Head of Growth at Gyde, you will lead the strategy and execution of top-of-the-funnel initiatives that expand our business through acquisitions and new revenue opportunities. This role is less about individual deal-making and more about building the teams and processes that enable Gyde to identify high value targets and generate predictable and durable pipeline. You’ll balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution and leadership, working across teams to position Gyde as the partner of choice for ambitious agencies.

This role is ideal for a growth-minded leader with consulting, investing, or high-growth software experience who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from zero to one, and is excited to manage a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy: Define and execute Gyde’s pipeline generation strategy across sales and marketing.
  • Market Development: Identify, prioritize, and pursue growth opportunities across broker networks, distribution channels, and strategic partnerships.
  • Pipeline Building: Partner with Marketing to generate and qualify new opportunities, ensuring steady top-of-funnel activity.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement systems, processes, and metrics to track performance, optimize conversion, and ensure scalable growth.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Directly manage our sales team of high performing Market Directors while serving as a key functional leader in the organization who will regularly collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Engineering
  • Investor & External Relationships: Serve as a point of contact for key external stakeholders–including investors, consultants, and potential partners.

What you bring and who you are

  • 5–8+ years of experience in growth, consulting, investing, or strategy roles.
  • Proven experience in scaling a software business, leading consulting engagements, or driving sourcing and growth initiatives in private equity.
  • Strong management experience – you know how to build, coach, and lead teams.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset; able to define KPIs, interpret results, and drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable with both C-level executives and operators in the field.
  • A high degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability. You thrive in ambiguity and pride yourself on tackling complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, insurance, or financial services is a plus, but not required.

What we offer

Gyde offers a competitive benefits package to all employees.

  • Top of the market compensation
  • Flexible (Unlimited) Paid Time Off
  • Hybrid Work in Austin or NYC
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits for you and your family

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
