Value Creation Director

Austin, Texas, United States, New York, New York, United States

About Us

  • The insurance broker is a critical, yet underleveraged asset within the healthcare value chain. Despite being the first point of contact for patients and providing critical guidance on everything from insurance plan selection to care navigation, many still rely on manual workflows and spreadsheets to run their business, and are unable to grow at their desired pace.

  • Gyde is building an AI-native brokerage platform by acquiring traditional agencies and supercharging them with workflow automation, voice and chat AI applications, and predictive product and plan selection guidance.

  • Our vision is to be the premier partner for ambitious agencies, streamlining their operations through the Gyde platform to enable their success in the current regulatory and technological paradigm shift.

  • Our founding team boasts pedigrees from Oscar, Stripe, Vista Equity Partners, Scale AI, and Spark Advisors. Lightspeed led Gyde’s Seed financing, with participation from Virtue and Crystal Venture Partners, and angels from Oscar, Uber, and more.

Role Summary

We’re looking for a Value Creation Director to drive growth, retention, and operational excellence across Gyde’s portfolio of health insurance agency partners.

As an account lead, you’ll own the long-term success of 3-5 asset acquisitions post-close. You’ll guide them through integration, drive adoption of Gyde’s platform, and lead the execution of Gyde’s value creation initiatives. You’ll work cross-functionally with M&A, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, and HR to turn strategy into results.

This role is ideal for a top decile, generalist operator who loves tackling complex, ambiguous problems, enjoys building relationships, and thrives in a fast-moving environment. They’re equally comfortable problem-solving with leadership as they are executing autonomously with detail and precision.

You’ll be the connective tissue between Gyde’s leadership team and its agency partners, turning business plans into tangible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary post-acquisition lead for agencies in integration and early growth phases
  • Own the relationship with, and be accountable for performance of 3-5 partner agencies
  • Develop and execute agency-specific value creation plans spanning financial, operational, and growth initiatives
  • Lead special projects that improve Gyde’s integration and value creation engine as the company scales
  • Coordinate all workstreams (systems, compliance, finance, HR, broker enablement/recruitment, go-to-market) to deliver seamless integration
  • Build trust with agency owners and brokers, acting as their main point of contact and internal advocate
  • Monitor key metrics (e.g., growth, retention, productivity, margin uplift, and platform adoption) and use data to drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with Forward Deployed Specialists and internal teams to translate field learnings into scalable playbooks
  • Act as “Voice of the Customer” for partner agencies internally across product, engineering, operations, finance and client teams

What you bring and who you are

  • 4-6 years of experience at a top consulting or private equity firm driving portfolio operations
  • Strong project management and analytical skills; experience running multi-workstream projects or post-merger integrations preferred
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills. Able to build trust and influence stakeholders from agency owners to internal execs
  • A bias toward action; thrives when solving problems in real time
  • High adaptability and composure in fast-changing environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership; comfortable working in ambiguity and creating structure where none exists
  • Experience in insurance, healthcare, or brokerage operations is a plus but not required
  • Ability to travel ~50% required

What we offer

Gyde offers a competitive benefits package to all employees.

  • Top of the market compensation
  • Flexible (Unlimited) Paid Time Off
  • Hybrid Work in Austin or NYC
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits for you and your family
  • Retirement Plan (e.g., 401K)
  • Parental Leave

Form CC-305

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
