THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Staff Fullstack Software Engineer to our PEX team in Brazil

The Partners Area is accountable for the supplier side of our Marketplace. They work to provide products and services for these partners, bringing customers and helping them to have more corporate clients.

The PEX (Partner Experience) team's mission is to improve the Partner experience, streamline processes, and implement strategies to elevate Partner satisfaction and engagement with Wellhub.

 

YOUR IMPACT

  • Technical Strategy: Lead the design and architecture of complex, multi-stack systems, creating abstractions that solve recurring problems across the engineering org;
  • System Evolution: Proactively identify and execute architectural remodeling to prevent technical debt and ensure long-term maintainability;
  • Operational Excellence: Anticipate edge cases and structural failures in design phases, raising the bar for system availability and resilience;
  • Product Partnership: Act as a bridge between technical possibilities and product vision, ensuring we build the right things the right way;
  • High-Bar Reviews: Provide deep, systemic feedback on design docs and pull requests, fostering a culture of technical excellence;
  • Multiplier Effect: Mentor Senior and Lead engineers, accelerating their growth and establishing best practices that outlast your direct intervention;
  • Wellbeing Leadership: Lead by example in creating a sustainable, high-performance environment where work-life balance and mental health are prioritized;

WHO YOU ARE

  • BSc./ MSc. Degree in Computer Science or similar;
  • Extensive experience with Backend programming languages (specifically JVM-based like Java/Kotlin);
  • Proven experience architecting and deploying solutions on AWS;
  • Polyglot & Pragmatic: You have deep expertise in Java/Kotlin, ReactJS, and TypeScript, but you understand when "Vanilla JS" or a Node.js BFF is the surgical tool needed for the job;
  • Distributed Systems Expert: You have extensive experience navigating Microservices and Micro-frontend architectures at scale;
  • Computer Science Foundation: You master data structures, async programming, and complexity analysis, applying them to solve real-world business bottlenecks;
  • Quality Advocate: You don't see testing as a chore but as a foundation. You balance UX needs with system costs, availability, and maintainability;
  • Strategic Communicator: You are proficient in English and excel at asynchronous communication, capable of articulating complex technical trade-offs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Community Builder: You have a track record of fostering collaboration across teams and sharing knowledge through RFCs, tech talks, or documentation;
  • Professional fluency in English for global collaboration.
