THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Commercial In-House Lawyer to our Legal team! This position can be based out of Madrid (Spain), Milan (Italy), or London (UK) in a hybrid model, or as a Remote – Spain, Italy, or UK position, meaning you can work from anywhere within these specified countries.
In this role, you will be directly responsible for drafting and negotiating high-complexity commercial agreements, advising on indirect sales channels, and optimizing contract lifecycle processes across Europe—with a core focus on supporting our Italian and Spanish markets. As a key partner to our commercial teams, you will manage complex legal risks, streamline contract workflows, and leverage Legal Tech tools to accelerate deal execution. We are seeking a trilingual lawyer (fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English) with at least 4 years of hands-on in-house experience handling multi-jurisdictional commercial contracts.
YOUR IMPACT
- Negotiate Complex Commercial Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, due diligences, and indirect channel partnerships across European jurisdictions, with dedicated focus on the Italian and Spanish markets.
- Indirect Sales Channels: Serve as a legal advisor for indirect sales channels, partner networks, and strategic commercial initiatives across the region.
- Drive Regional Process Improvements: Lead strategic process improvement initiatives across contract lifecycles, evaluating workflows, optimizing legal templates, and establishing best practices to increase operational efficiency across European operations.
- Provide Senior Market Oversight & Escalation Support: Act as a senior point of contact for complex legal matters in Italy and Spain, partnering closely with local market counsel to handle escalations and manage high-stakes negotiations.
- Advance Legal Tech Adoption: Drive the implementation, optimization, and daily usage of AI-powered contract review, CLM solutions, and automated legal tools to improve deal velocity and accuracy.
- Enable Cross-Functional Teams: Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials that simplify complex legal terms, empowering sales and commercial teams on risk management and contract processes.
- Live the mission: Inspire and empower others by genuinely caring for your own wellbeing and your colleagues, creating a supportive environment where work-life wellness thrives.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experienced Legal Professional: Holds a Law Degree from a European country (an Italian legal qualification is a strong advantage) with a minimum of 8 years of experience handling commercial contract negotiations, indirect channels, and complex legal matters within an in-house legal department or multinational environment.
- A multilingual communicator with advanced, fluent proficiency in Italian, Spanish, and English (you must speak both Italian and Spanish well enough to review contracts and lead negotiations and English to collaborate with our Global team). Fluency in French is a clear plus.
- Process Improvement & Strategy Driven: Proven ability to identify bottlenecks in contract cycles, design streamlined legal processes, and manage multi-jurisdictional legal risk across European markets.
- Legal Tech Enthusiast: Direct, practical experience implementing, training, or heavily utilizing AI contract review, CLM systems, or legal workflow automation tools.
- European Contract Law Expert: Solid background in European commercial contract law, regulatory frameworks, data protection regulations, and cross-border deal structuring.
- Collaborative Business Partner: Skilled at working alongside cross-functional commercial teams, with the ability to translate complex legal risks into clear, practical, and business-oriented advice.
- Self-Motivated & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and solid business acumen to prioritize and execute multiple time-sensitive projects independently.
