Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Analyst

Role Scope:
The Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Analyst reports directly to the VP of Compliance (Compliance Officer) and serves as a key compliance presence within the Compliance Department supporting regulatory affairs and compliance efforts across Habitat Health’s California PACE organizations. Specifically, the Analyst supports the following regulatory and compliance functions:
- External regulatory audits and readiness activities, including mock audits, submission quality assurances, and corrective action plan development, approval, and monitoring;
- Regulatory agency relationship management, including attendance at key regulator meetings and forums;
- Regulatory reporting, including ensuring reports submitted to regulators are timely, complete, and accurate;
- Participant Advisory Committees (“PACs”), including composition, meeting coordination, and PAC reporting to the corporate Compliance Committee; and
- Monitoring and integration of new/updated California laws, regulations, and sub-regulatory guidance, including any pro-active regulatory advocacy.
- As a member of the Compliance Department, the Analyst is also expected to represent the compliance program within the Habitat Health California PACE centers, including:
- Developing and maintaining productive relationships with all levels of center management and staff;
- Championing the compliance program at the center level; and
- Performing other Compliance Department duties, as needed.
Experience and traits that drive success in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, public health, public administration, public policy, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in public policy, public administration, government relations, or healthcare compliance.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above is also qualifying.
- Familiarity with reading, analyzing, and communicating laws and regulations
- Optimistic and can-do approach.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in an efficient manner.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Manage multiple projects and identify opportunities for internal and external collaboration.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite.
Nice to have:
- Experience with PACE, DHCS, and/or CMS.
- Experience with regulatory audits.
Compensation:
We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for medical/dental/vision insurance, short and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) savings, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 and is a bonus-eligible position. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
