Role Scope:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This entry-level position will primarily support the Accounts Payable (AP) process and will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor payments. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with intercompany transactions and expense allocations.
- Manage end-to-end AP lifecycle including invoice intake, 3-way matching, coding, and timely payment execution while ensuring adherence to internal controls
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, legal, and department leads to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure alignment with contract terms
- Analyze AP aging reports and drive resolution of overdue items, proactively escalating payment issues to relevant stakeholders
- Lead the monthly reconciliation of AP sub-ledger to general ledger and assist with variance analysis
- Execute detailed multi-entity expense allocations based on headcount, usage metrics, or budget guidelines, with supporting journal entries and audit-ready documentation
- Support month-end close by preparing accruals, prepaids, fix asset and reclasses with appropriate supporting detail
- Assist in developing process documentation and identifying opportunities for automation within the AP workflow
- Serve as a point of contact for vendor onboarding, ensuring compliance with W-9 collection, tax ID verification, and payment terms setup
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal AP policies and participate in system/process improvement projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–2 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably with a focus on AP
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with intercompany transactions and expense allocation concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Bill.com) a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a multi-entity or healthcare organization
- Exposure to automated AP systems or invoice management platforms
Compensation:
We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for medical/dental/vision insurance, short and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) savings, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 and is bonus eligible. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
