Weโ€™re looking for a Post-Completion Expert/ Legal Support

We are looking for a Post-Completion Expert / Legal Support professional to join our conveyancing team and take ownership of the post-completion process. You will play an important role in making sure that, once a property has completed, all outstanding legal and administrative requirements are dealt with accurately, efficiently and within the required timescales.

You will work closely with our conveyancers, clients, lenders, HM Land Registry and other third parties to ensure files are brought to a smooth and compliant conclusion.

We are a collaborative team, united by the belief that home ownership can and should be better. The role demands adaptability, focus, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. 

 

More about what youโ€™ll do:

  • Submission of Stamp Duty Land Tax Returns and payment of Stamp Duty within the 14 day deadline. 
  • Submission of registrations with H M Land Registry within the Search Priority Period. Registrations to be carried out via the online registration service wherever possible. 
  • Liaising with the Land Registry to ensure registrations are progressing and escalating if required to do so.
  • Deal with completed registrations and sending deeds to lenders or clients as required. 
  • Deal with post completion accounts and queries to clear balances before archiving. 
  • Assisting with the processing and allocation of conveyancing mail as required. 
  • When necessary retrieve archived paper/electronic files. 
  • Undertake such work on the file as may be directed by the Fee Earner. 
  • Archive both completed paper and electronic files on a regular basis. 
  • All work to be spell checked and proofread prior to passing to Fee Earner.

More about you:

  • Strong administrative skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Collaborative and team focused, with a can do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues, and third parties
  • Motivated to learn and grow, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and improve processes
  • Experience in residential property or legal work is a bonus but not essential
  • Comfortable using tools like Slack is helpful but not required
