HALA currently holds multiple entities in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt (including HALA Payments, HALA Cashier and HALA Logistics) and offers solutions that enable merchants to digitize their payments as well as manage their sales and operations.


Founded in 2017, HALA is currently duly licensed by the Saudi Arabian Central Bank as well as the Financials Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in Abu Dhabi Global Market.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Public Relations and Internal Communications to lead our communications strategy during this pivotal period in our growth. This role is critical in shaping our public image, building relationships with key stakeholders, and implementing effective internal communication to enable all employees to align with our IPO objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Public Relations Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy that elevates Hala’s visibility and reputation specifically in the fintech sector, targeting potential investors and market analysts.
    • Build and maintain relationships with tier-1 media outlets, ensuring that our story and milestones are highlighted in leading financial publications and technology platforms.
    • Foster relationships with key industry influencers to enhance our credibility and reach among stakeholders.
  2. Brand Messaging:
    • Lead the creation of clear, consistent messaging that aligns with Hala’s goals and values, especially as it pertains to our journey toward an IPO.
    • Oversee the development of press releases, articles, and communication materials that resonate with both the financial community and the general public, emphasizing our unique value propositions and market positioning.
  3. Crisis Management:
    • Manage communication strategies during crises by preparing well-defined messaging protocols, ensuring quick and effective responses to challenges that may arise as we approach our IPO.
    • Prepare key executives and founders for media interactions and public appearances, including mock interviews and presentation coaching, to ensure they effectively convey our vision and address critical questions.
  4. Internal Communications:
    • Design and execute an internal communications strategy that keeps employees informed and engaged about the IPO process and organizational changes.
    • Collaborate with HR and leadership to build a culture of transparency, encouraging open feedback and dialogue among staff to align everyone around our common goals.
  5. Content Creation:
    • Oversee and produce engaging content for various platforms, including the Hala website, social media, and internal channels, keeping the focus on brand storytelling as it relates to our IPO journey.
    • Manage communication calendars and coordinate announcements related to company initiatives, events, and achievements, particularly those leading up to the IPO.
  6. Stakeholder Relations:
    • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with government entities and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all necessary communication requirements and fostering a positive image with regulators.
    • Engage with investors and analysts to provide updates on Hala’s performance, strategy, and key milestones, positioning the company favorably during the IPO process.
  7. Image of Founders and Speaking Opportunities:
    • Promote the public image of Hala's founders, showcasing their expertise and thought leadership within the fintech space through strategic speaking engagements and media appearances.
    • Identify and secure speaking opportunities for founders and executives at industry conferences, webinars, and panels, positioning them as spokespeople for the company and the fintech industry at large.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of  5 years of experience in public relations, communications, or marketing, preferably within the fintech or technology sector with a focus on IPO or capital markets.
  • Proven track record of developing successful PR strategies and managing media relations with tier-1 outlets.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of the fintech landscape, regulatory environment, and current industry trends.
  • Ability to think strategically and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams at all levels of the organization.
