Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

As the Director, Marketing Operations you will lead our marketing operations function and drive the implementation of innovative marketing strategies. Your responsibilities will span strategic system and process design, technical implementation, and operational efficiency of our MarTech infrastructure. You will enhance existing technologies and processes while also uncovering avenues for expansion by collaborating with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with revenue operations seamlessly.

 

Your deep understanding of marketing technology and data-driven decision-making, as well as your ability to collaborate cross-functionally will ensure our marketing efforts are streamlined, efficient, and impactful.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing operations strategies to support business goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align marketing operations with overall company objectives and business priorities.
  • Optimize the marketing technology stack, ensuring tools and platforms support efficiency and scale.

Marketing Technology Management:

  • Manage the selection, implementation and fine-tuning of a diverse marketing technology setup, encompassing SFDC, marketing automation, intent-driven data tools, attribution models, and more.
  • Ensure smooth integration of marketing systems with other business tools and platforms, aligning marketing technology with the overall business objectives.
  • Possess advanced insight into lead and account lifecycles, along with adept operational oversight, including streamlining workflows, optimizing data, and fostering scalability and efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce ethical marketing system standards and procedures, emphasizing compliance and privacy.

 

Process Optimization & Efficiency:

  • Develop and maintain systems for lead management, data quality, and customer segmentation.
  • Ensure alignment between data structure, integrity, and collection processes with reporting and business requirements, particularly regarding tracking and attributing user journeys.
  • Continuously enhance marketing practices across our tech stack and teams.
  • Establish a central hub for documenting system and data processes, customer and prospect journeys, linked to data and automation solutions.

 

Data-Driven Insights & Reporting:

  • Develop reporting systems/processes to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and overall ROI.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the marketing team based on data analysis.
  • Ensure that marketing performance metrics are aligned with business outcomes.


Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing operations and analytics team.

 

Key Relationships:

Marketing teams (demand gen, customer marketing, corporate marketing), Sales Operations, Business Development, Executive Leadership

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of SFDC, marketing automation, intent-based data tools, and marketing technologies.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies in marketing operations.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and their impact on campaign execution.
  • Capability to pinpoint the root causes of technical and operational issues and enhance them for scalability.
  • In-depth comprehension of marketing dataflows and analytics.
  • Innovative troubleshooter dedicated to discovering practical solutions to operational hurdles.
  • Comfortable explaining complex processes and data to stakeholders at different levels, adjusting presentation depth as needed.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing operations
  • Deep analytical skills, business acumen, strong technical abilities, and working knowledge of GTM tools (SFDC, 6Sense, Marketo, Bizible, Outreach, Hubspot, Drift, Domo, Tableau, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $210,000

In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, the range provided is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity in the Company.
