Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to serve as a senior leader within our Product Management organization. This role is responsible for holistic ownership of the product roadmap across the entire product portfolio, working in close partnership with other Product Managers who own specific product areas or initiatives.

The Principal Product Manager operates with broad scope and high autonomy, providing strategic direction, driving prioritization decisions, and ensuring alignment between customer needs, business objectives, and execution. This role does not require direct people management, but it carries significant leadership responsibility through influence, coordination, and decision-making across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

  • Own and maintain the end-to-end product roadmap, ensuring coherence, clarity, and alignment across all product areas.
  • Partner with Product Managers responsible for individual domains to integrate their plans into a unified, prioritized roadmap.
  • Translate company strategy, customer insights, and market dynamics into actionable product direction.

Prioritization & Decision-Making

  • Lead ongoing prioritization across initiatives, balancing customer impact, business value, technical feasibility, and delivery capacity.
  • Facilitate regular roadmap and prioritization reviews with stakeholders, adjusting plans as needed based on new information.
  • Make and communicate clear tradeoff decisions, ensuring focus on the highest-impact work.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a senior product leader and point of coordination across Engineering, Design, Go-To-Market, Customer Success, Sales, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment across teams by clearly articulating product vision, goals, and priorities.
  • Influence without authority, building trust and consensus while holding teams accountable to outcomes.

Product Execution

  • Perform core Product Management responsibilities, including problem definition, requirements development, success metrics definition, and launch planning.
  • Ensure that product initiatives are well-scoped, customer-driven, and outcomes-focused.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to support effective execution while respecting technical constraints and long-term architecture.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, use cases, and pain points across the full product surface area.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to inform product strategy and roadmap evolution.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, with demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-area products or platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead product strategy and roadmap planning across multiple initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, particularly in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate strategy, rationale, and tradeoffs clearly.
  • Strong analytical and customer-centric mindset, with a track record of delivering measurable product outcomes.

Base Salary Range: $215k-245k, 10% bonus, and equity.

In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, the range provided is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity in the Company.
