Job Purpose

Hankook Tire North America is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to develop a high-performance culture and workforce strategy for the North American headquarters as well as the design and delivery of HR operations.  This position would work in concert with the senior leadership, management, and staff to achieve workforce success. This role would also oversee and direct a team of professionals handling the various areas of HR (Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, Recruiting, Training, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Payroll, Employee-related Regulatory Compliance and HR Information Systems (HRIS)).

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing the HR strategy as well as the design and delivery of Human Resources programs, processes, and services for North America headquarters. Work to lead and/or support, as necessary, other Hankook-affiliated companies in North America.  Works in concert with the senior leadership, management, and HR staff to implement and execute the human resource programs.
  • Advise leadership at all levels on HR-related issues. Oversees, directs, manages, and supervises the Human Resources staff on programs such as Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Training, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Payroll, Employee-related Regulatory Compliance and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Responsible for establishing and improving career management programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand and develop organizational goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention.
  • Executes human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations, as necessary.
  • Provide a career coaching path for team members, help identify high potential candidates, and help create a career track so that individuals can be considered for future leadership positions.
  • Develops HR operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Leads or assists with special projects, as needed.
  • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipates legislation; enforces adherence to requirements; advises management on needed actions.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; maintains personal networks; participates in professional organizations.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by HR Director and Management

  • Directs, develops, updates, and maintains all HR operations while adhering to company policy and procedures

Qualification

  • A Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 7 to 10 years’ experience of HR in a management role
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
