
Senior Laboratory Technician

About the Role:
Laboratory assistance to the mixing and testing of rubber compounds and maintenance of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare rubber compounds according to specified formulations and work instructions.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as mixers, mills, presses, and testing machines (e.g. rheometer, tensile tester, hardness tester, viscoelastic tester).
- Conduct physical and chemical tests on rubber samples, including tensile strength, elongation, hardness, aging, viscosity, and chemical analysis.
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and timely.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to compound preparation and testing.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures and guidelines.
- Support research and development activities as required.
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and raw materials.
- Collaborate with manager and engineers to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- Education in Chemistry, Chemical/Polymer Engineering preferred.
- 10 years’ experience working in rubber testing laboratory.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with rubber processing and testing equipment.
- Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel and Word.
