Hanover is looking for an ambitious Account Executive to join our growing Corporate team to help build brands and protect reputations for our clients in the UK and beyond. Our team currently provides counsel and support to a wide range of household names – from major energy firms to food and drink brands, from HNWIs to ambitious government projects across the world.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct value-add research and produce draft intelligence reports for clients and sector specific new business meetings
  • Draft high-quality media materials, and directly liaise with journalists
  • Use knowledge of the UK media landscape to build valuable relationships with journalists on behalf of our clients
  • Provide timely and relevant media monitoring to existing clients, keeping up-to-date press cutting files and compiling press cuttings booklets
  • Successfully sell in news stories to print and broadcast journalists, as well as digital channels
  • Collaborate with teams across specialisations in the various Hanover offices to help run integrated communications campaigns for our clients
  • Draft client meeting agendas and effective action notes from internal account meetings and new business meetings, together with efficient maintenance of new business databases
  • Organise logistics (e.g. room bookings, invitations, speaker briefing notes and catering) for events including press conferences, media and stakeholder events
  • Draft presentation materials for new business credentials and pitches, contributing towards new business pitches
  • Contribute towards marketing activity to promote Hanover, and our Corporate and International Affairs offering
  • Promote and demonstrate the Hanover Values across the full range of the role
  • Contribute to opportunities for continuous improvement in all areas of role delivery and the wider team processes and practices
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and proactive attitude to assessing requirements, completing tasks and delivering results for clients and for Hanover
  • Develop understanding of company budget setting, management processes and Hanover financial and marketing systems including Maconomy and Salesforce

Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to communicate confidently with staff, clients and third-party stakeholders
  • Attention to detail, and ability to develop high-quality work to tight deadlines
  • Effective time management and strong organisational skills
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of an intercultural team
  • Interest in geopolitics
  • Demonstrable experience in providing solutions / being proactive in improving the day-to-day
  • Experience in a communications role within an agency, corporation, government or NGO environment
  • Experience with traditional and social media monitoring tools
