Position Summary:

Hanwha Convergence USA (HCU) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hanwha Energy and the sole O&M service provider within Hanwha Group, delivering end-to-end Solar and BESS Operations & Maintenance across 70+ active utility-scale sites in the U.S. In addition to O&M, HCU operates a growing System Integration (SI) business, providing electrical, instrumentation & control (I&C), and control system integration services — including PLC/HMI/SCADA, HVAC/UPW controls, and power monitoring systems — for semiconductor, energy, and advanced manufacturing customers.

The Procurement Specialist will support procurement execution across both the O&M and SI business lines, helping ensure cost-competitive, compliant, and timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services. Working closely with the Procurement & SCM team, SI project teams, and field operations, this role handles day-to-day Procurement activities — from RFQ preparation and quote comparison to PO issuance and vendor follow-up — and maintains accurate procurement records and vendor information.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Supply Chain Management (≈ 90%)

•     Support end-to-end sourcing and procurement for both O&M and SI business lines, including materials, spare parts, equipment, and subcontracted/EPC-related services (e.g., PLC, HMI, MCC, cabling, instrumentation).

•     Manage the RFQ/RFP process: prepare RFQs/RFPs to qualified suppliers, maintain bid schedules aligned with project timelines, coordinate RFI responses, and compare proposals against historical and market pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.

•     Negotiate pricing and terms for small-scale and recurring purchases and issue POs within approval authority; support the manager in negotiations for larger or strategic purchases.

•     Support management of vendor and OEM partnership agreements (e.g., preferred pricing/technical support arrangements) and maintain the approved vendor list.

•     Support identification, qualification, and onboarding of new vendors; monitor supplier compliance with contract terms and project requirements.

•     Track supplier performance (cost, quality, on-time delivery) and support improvement actions based on lessons learned.

•     Track project- and site-level procurement against approved budgets; compile market/cost data and prepare updates for leadership.

•     Partner with field teams to forecast site-level material/parts needs and support inventory and warehouse coordination.

•     Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement SOPs and governance across O&M and SI.

•     Coordinate with Legal to ensure vendor/subcontractor agreements comply with internal policy and contractual obligations.

•     Maintain accurate and complete procurement records in accordance with record retention procedures.

Other Duties (≈ 10%)

•     Support ad hoc business operations initiatives and process improvement projects, including procurement summaries and reports for U.S. and Korea HQ leadership as needed.

•     Coordinate with Legal, HR, and other functions as needed.

•     Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Required:

•     Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

•     1–2+ years of experience in procurement, procurement, supply chain, or construction/project coordination, ideally within the energy, construction, EPC, SI, or O&M industry.

•     Bilingual in Korean and English required.

•     Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with pricing, quotation, and procurement data.

•     Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with field teams, project teams, and management.

•     Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred:

•     Experience with ERP/procurement systems (SAP or similar) a plus.

•     Experience supporting vendor negotiations and managing vendor/supplier contracts a plus.

•     Experience with change order management, and with both service-based (O&M) and project/EPC-style (SI) procurement, a plus.

•     Ability to travel to project/work sites on an as-needed basis.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Primarily an office environment; occasional travel to project sites as needed.

COMPENSATION: $55,000 - $68,250 salary
