POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Corporate Strategy Director, you will build and lead a team that addresses important issues and determines the company’s strategy. You frame problems in unexpected ways and can be relied upon for clarity, leadership, and perspective by the internal team and stakeholders. Serving as strategic lead on projects, you will coordinate and lead efforts to answer questions and develop insights. Projects will cover the core solar development business as well as new business opportunities such as data centers, green hydrogen and natural gas. The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by management. All duties will be assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide and perform analyses related to industry, competitor, and technology dynamics and trends (e.g., market sizing, competitive landscape mapping, customer segmentation) that inform the company’s strategy.
- Identify potential strategic alliances/partnerships and M&A opportunities and help lead/coordinate the related deal efforts (including structuring and negotiations).
- Lead the development of recommendations and the strategy for growth (in the core and new business areas), including where to compete and how to win (e.g., competitive advantage).
- Guide and perform financial analyses that help in the evaluation of strategic options, including financial outlook, NPV, and scenario/sensitivity analysis.
- Communicate findings/recommendations with management and support business collaboration discussions with key stakeholders.
- Partner with other departments and help support the annual strategic planning process and execution/implementation plans.
- Drive project-based strategic initiatives end-to-end from problem definition and project scoping to delivery of recommendations to the executive team
- Work cross-functionally, including building consensus and influencing decision making.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience working at a top-tier consulting firm or similar experience in corporate strategy or corporate development role.
- MBA from a top-tier institution preferred.
- Executive presence including building strong relationships with executive team members.
- Ability to lead teams, including guidance and coaching.
- Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking.
- Ability to develop leading edge business models and long-term business strategies.
- Can clearly and persuasively communicate strategic recommendations to internal and external audiences at different levels.
- Experience and proficiency creating high quality presentations.
- Ability to leverage trust to influence and drive outcomes without formal authority.
- Able to structure and present complex business research in a fast-paced environment.
- Renewable energy or digital infrastructure experience preferred.
COMPENSATION: $215,000 to $240,000 salary
