POSITION OVERVIEW
Hanwha Energy USA is seeking an experienced Director, Finance Structuring to lead the development, negotiation, and execution of complex financing structures supporting the company's renewable energy, power, battery storage, energy infrastructure, and data center development platforms.
This strategic leadership role will partner closely with executive leadership, development, investments, legal, tax, and accounting teams to optimize capital structures, secure financing solutions, and maximize project returns across a growing portfolio of energy and infrastructure assets.
The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by management. All duties will be assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financing Strategy & Execution
- Lead the structuring and execution of project financings, corporate financings, tax equity investments, debt facilities, and strategic capital transactions.
- Develop and evaluate financing alternatives to support project development and growth objectives.
- Lead negotiations with lenders, tax equity investors, institutional investors, and strategic financing partners.
- Project finance transaction execution through financial close.
- Debt structuring and lender due diligence.
- Project finance modeling, including debt sizing, sensitivity, and capital structure optimization
- Financing documentation and negotiations.
Financial Structuring & Modeling
- Oversee development of sophisticated financial models to support investment and financing decisions.
- Evaluate project economics, capital deployment strategies, and risk-adjusted returns.
- Optimize capital structures across a diverse portfolio of investments.
- Lead scenario analyses and transaction structuring initiatives.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary finance structuring expert for executive leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including development, accounting, tax, legal, treasury, and external advisors.
- Present financing recommendations to executive leadership and investment committees.
- Mentor and develop finance structuring professionals.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor debt, tax equity, and capital markets.
- Maintain relationships with banks, infrastructure funds, tax equity investors, and institutional capital providers.
- Identify innovative financing strategies to enhance project competitiveness and profitability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project finance, structured finance, investment banking, infrastructure finance, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrated experience leading renewable energy or infrastructure financings.
- Advanced financial modeling and transaction execution expertise.
- Proven experience negotiating financing agreements and transaction documents.
Preferred
- MBA, CFA, CPA, or related advanced credential.
- Renewable energy, battery storage, power generation, or data center financing experience.
- Significant experience with tax equity, debt financing, and project finance structures.
- Experience leading teams and managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
COMPENSATION: $190,000 - $210,000 salary
