ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Marketing Manager, Affiliate Partnerships to own and scale one of Happy Money’s largest and most critical growth channels. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for driving loan originations and revenue through our affiliate ecosystem, including partners such as Credit Karma, Experian, NerdWallet, Even Financial, and similar platforms. This channel is a primary driver of company performance and a key contributor to year-end growth goals.

The Senior Marketing Manager, Affiliate Partnerships will have full responsibility for the affiliate channel, operating as both the hands-on executional lead and the strategic lead. They will personally manage partner relationships, performance optimization, testing, forecasting, and reporting while contributing to the long-term vision for sustainable growth. Collaborating closely with external partners and cross-functional internal teams, leveraging data-driven insights and a test-and-learn mindset, this role is responsible for maximizing performance across existing partnerships, identifying and establishing new right-fit partnerships, and leading related marketplace projects and initiatives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the affiliate channel end-to-end, including forecasting, performance evaluation, cost and revenue projections, partner management, and reporting.
  • Lead the development and execution of affiliate strategies and initiatives to drive loan origination growth and efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all affiliate partners, managing relationships, negotiations, performance reviews, and optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Credit, Risk, Finance, Analytics, Legal, and Compliance to align goals, ensure executional excellence, and drive results.
  • Analyze partner performance, funnel metrics, and credit outcomes; design and execute rigorous testing to continuously optimize performance.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for cross-channel collaboration and lift, applying affiliate insights to improve performance across other marketing channels.
  • Grow Happy Money’s market share within affiliate ecosystems by securing our position as a preferred issuer—building deep, strategic partnerships that enable early access to platform enhancements, beta programs, and partner-led initiatives.
  • Gain competitive, landscape, and market insights that enable us to leverage emerging strategies, technologies, and platform capabilities to drive higher-quality loan originations through deepened partner relationships.
  • Contribute to marketing-wide planning, forecasting, and reporting, providing clear insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Take on additional marketing projects and responsibilities beyond affiliate marketing that meaningfully contribute to departmental growth and effectiveness.
  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team as the channel scales, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all affiliate activity adheres to compliance, legal, operational, and quality standards.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • 7+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, performance marketing, or partnership-driven growth, preferably in fintech or consumer lending.
  • Demonstrated people management experience, with a passion for coaching, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proven ownership of a large, revenue-driving affiliate or partnership channel with accountability for volume, efficiency, and performance outcomes.
  • Direct experience managing major affiliate partners such as Credit Karma, Experian, NerdWallet, Even Financial, or similar platforms.
  • Experience operating in regulated financial services or lending environments, with a working understanding of compliance, legal, and risk considerations.
  • Deep knowledge affiliate tracking, attribution, and lead distribution platforms, and the ability to use these tools to diagnose performance and drive optimization.
  • Experience contributing to and driving cross-channel marketing initiatives, applying insights from one channel to lift performance across others.
  • Advanced analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to independently diagnose performance trends and drive optimization.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on execution with strategic leadership in a lean, high-accountability environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate performance insights clearly through reporting, forecasting, and presentations.
  • Experience working closely with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Product, and Analytics teams to support approvals, reporting, and optimization.

Base Salary Range

$145,000 - $160,000 USD
