Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor (2nd shift) to lead our maintenance team in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations during the second shift, ensuring equipment reliability, coordinating maintenance activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and supervise the second-shift maintenance team to ensure seamless operations.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
- Manage and optimize critical spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
- Support the development, review, and updating of preventive maintenance (PM) documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers (ME) and Design Engineers to enhance equipment performance and process efficiency.
- Enforce 5S principles to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Mentor and train maintenance staff to enhance technical skills and efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to assess maintenance effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS software (MaintainX or similar systems).
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support production goals.
- Provide leadership in emergency breakdown situations, ensuring rapid response and resolution.
- Flexibility to work weekends and respond to urgent maintenance needs as required.
Who You Are:
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance with a strong background in team leadership or supervisory roles.
- Deep understanding of industrial maintenance practices, troubleshooting, and repair of automated machinery.
- Experience using CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop maintenance teams.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.
- Experienced with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and root cause analysis.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.

California Pay Range
$100,000 - $120,000 USD
