Position Summary
As a Sr. Technical Recruiter at Harbinger, you will be a critical partner in our growth story. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring the brilliant engineering and technical minds that will drive our product from development to production and beyond. This is a full-cycle recruiting role where you will own the entire hiring process, from sourcing and strategy to closing top-tier candidates. You will be a strategic advisor to our hiring managers, a brand ambassador to candidates, and a key builder of our company culture.
What You'll Do
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the entire recruitment process for highly technical roles, including but not limited to Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Embedded Software, Battery Systems, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to build a robust pipeline of active and passive candidates through online sourcing, networking, industry events, and referrals.
- Hiring Manager Partnership: Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and hiring managers to deeply understand their needs, define role requirements, and build effective interview processes.
- Candidate Experience: Champion an exceptional, high-touch candidate experience from the first contact to onboarding, ensuring every applicant feels respected and valued.
- Talent Pipelining: Proactively identify and engage top talent for future roles, building a strong network within the EV, automotive, and hardware technology industries.
- Data-Driven Recruitment: Utilize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track recruiting metrics, provide regular reports to stakeholders, and leverage data to improve hiring processes and outcomes.
- Closing & Negotiation: Manage the offer process, including crafting competitive offer packages, negotiating terms, and successfully closing candidates.
- Market Intelligence: Serve as an expert on the technical talent market, providing insights on industry trends, compensation, and competitive intelligence to guide our hiring strategy.
What You'll Bring (Minimum Qualifications)
- 5+ years of experience in a full-cycle technical recruiting role.
- Proven track record of successfully hiring engineers and technical professionals in a competitive market.
- Deep experience sourcing passive candidates using a variety of tools and techniques (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, professional networks).
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience partnering with and influencing senior leadership and hiring managers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex roles simultaneously.
- Proficiency with modern Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, or similar).
What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience recruiting within the automotive, EV, aerospace, or a related hardware manufacturing industry.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Specific recruiting experience in areas such as high-voltage battery systems, electric powertrains, vehicle controls, embedded software, or chassis systems.
- A passion for technology, electrification, and building a more sustainable future.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

California Pay Range
$100,000 - $120,000 USD
