PSA Solution Architect

Harbor is seeking a Solution Architect to support the continued evolution of our Professional Services Automation (“PSA”) platform built on Salesforce. The PSA Solution Architect will be the technical owner and primary hands-on developer for the core tool supporting the delivery of our projects. This role will own both architecture and configuration, leading key design decisions while supporting the development of solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep solution architecture expertise and development skills, with a strong track record building scalable solutions for high growth Professional Services organizations.  


Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

Architecture and Business Analysis 

  • Business Process Mapping: Analyzes a Harbor's current service delivery lifecycle and translates requirements into scalable system designs. 
  • Serve as the lead architect and technical lead for PSA and PSA adjacent initiatives, guiding solution design, and defining technical standards 
  • Partner closely with Delivery and Enterprise Operations leaders to translate strategic business goals into scalable technical solutions. 
  • System Integration: Drive business requirements for connecting the PSA with existing software, such as Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce CRM) platform, Billing and Timekeeping (NetSuite). 
  • Resource & Project Modeling: Architects tooling that supports how talent is allocated, scheduled, and tracked across projects based on skills, availability, and utilization goals. 
  • Financial Forecasting Workflow Design: Configures workflow that uses resource scheduling to drive project level financial forecasting. 
  • Customization & Governance: Customizes fields, workflows, and reporting dashboards, while establishing user permissions and data governance 

Technical Architecture and Development 

  • Lead the end-to-end technical design and architecture of scalable PSA and Professional Services solutions on Salesforce, including data models, processes, and integration patterns with external systems (e.g., CPQ, ERP, Billing, Data Warehouse). 
  • Deliver complex, custom solutions using Flows to extend our PSA functionality and build advanced automation (including agentic AI). 
  • Maintain deep expertise in Salesforce and PSA data models, architecture, and security, designing for performance and scale in high-volume scenarios. 
  • Responsible for implementing solutions that support business requirements and drive key decisions that improve processes and productivity. 
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, data models, and specifications. 
  • Leverage experience in high-growth Professional environments to continuously identify opportunities for architectural simplification, data quality improvement, and enhanced reporting/analytics, staying current with platform innovations. 

Experience, Education and Other Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 5+ of experience as a Salesforce administrator 
  • 5+ years of experience in PSA related requirements gathering, system design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment 
  • Expert level custom Salesforce development skills (Apex, LWC, Aura, Visualforce) plus strong Flow and declarative expertise. 
  • Proven track record as a technical lead or lead architect on complex, multi phase PSA implementations. 
  • Deep familiarity with PSA concepts (project financials, utilization, revenue, time & expense) in a professional services context. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in the following areas of focus:  
  • IT implementation methodologies, including waterfall, agile and iterative.  
  • Able to elicit requirements from requirements owners and recommend improvements to processes (strong stakeholder interview skills are a must).  
  • IT Project management, including development and management of project plans and a familiarity of corporate IT methodology frameworks.  
  • Use cases for contract management and AI solutions.  
  • Configuration of industry leading PSA solutions.  
  • Integration and migration requirements gathering and methodology.  
  • Experience and/or understanding of professional services business models 
  • Experience leading technology implementation projects across workstreams and through all stages of a project lifecycle.  
  • Proven track record of successful project implementations and development of junior talent.  
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (written and spoken).  
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and research skills; proficient in process and data mapping.  
  • Confidence and professionalism during client interactions, demonstrating sound judgement and attitude when interacting with client and internal stakeholders.  
  • Excels in a cooperative team environment; takes initiative to forward team operational efficiency through improved methodologies.  
  • Able to ideate and create stakeholder facing deliverables with minimal oversight from senior leadership.  
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with peers, software vendors, other suppliers, management, and stakeholder contacts.  
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit.  
  • Eagerness to quickly learn and develop new subject matter expertise and business skills.  
  • Demonstrates accountability and commitment.  
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize tasks.  
  • Maintains high standards for work product with keen attention to detail.  
  • Advanced computer skills (primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio); familiarity with use of Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint as collaboration tools.  
  • Have permanent US work authorization.
