Job Description:

Harper is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Senior Account Executive to lead strategic enterprise sales efforts and drive meaningful revenue growth. This high-impact role is ideal for a top-performing sales leader with a proven ability to navigate complex buying environments, influence executive decision-makers, and close transformative deals.

As a key member of our sales team reporting directly to the VP of Sales, you will operate as a trusted partner to enterprise customers, aligning Harper’s cutting-edge distributed data platform with the strategic priorities of CTOs, CIOs, and engineering leadership. You’ll leverage your deep industry expertise and consultative approach to expand relationships, win competitive opportunities, and shape how enterprises build modern, edge-ready architectures.

The ideal candidate is both a skilled hunter and a sophisticated strategist—someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of enterprise territories, and contributes meaningfully to Harper’s long-term growth trajectory.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic enterprise revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing high-value opportunities across key verticals and Fortune 1000 accounts.

  • Lead C-level engagement with CTOs, CIOs, and senior IT decision-makers, cultivating long-term, trusted relationships and influencing digital transformation roadmaps.

  • Architect multi-year, multi-million-dollar sales strategies, aligning Harper solutions with customer business objectives and technical environments.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, performing deep discovery and leveraging insights to create customized, value-based proposals and executive-ready business cases.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with executive leadership, product, engineering, and marketing to shape go-to-market strategies and optimize account penetration.

  • Own the full enterprise sales lifecycle, including complex deal structuring, contract negotiations, procurement orchestration, and executive alignment.

  • Provide accurate forecasting, strategic pipeline management, and contribute market insights to inform product development and roadmap prioritization.

 

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of enterprise sales experience in infrastructure, developer platforms, or data-centric technologies with a track record of overachievement in quota-bearing roles.
  • Demonstrated success in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with enterprise customers.
  • Executive-level selling experience, with the ability to navigate and influence C-suite stakeholders in technology and business functions.
  • Strategic mindset with exceptional business acumen, capable of articulating ROI, TCO, and technical differentiators in highly competitive markets.
  • Fluency in cloud, database, CDN, and edge computing concepts, and the ability to connect technical capabilities with business value.
  • Expert-level proficiency in CRM and sales enablement platforms, with disciplined pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy.
  • Highly self-directed, entrepreneurial, and collaborative, with a passion for winning and a demonstrated ability to thrive in high-growth environments.

 

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)

 

Compensation: $270,000+ including base salary and on target incentive pay

 

Interview Process

  • 1st Stage, Initial Screening: 30-minute get-to-know-you Zoom interview with the Head of People Operations.
  • 2nd Stage, Hiring Manager Interview: 60-minute Zoom interview with our VP of Sales. 
  • 3rd Stage, Technical Discussion: 60-minute Zoom interview with a current Solution Architect or Senior Sales Member at Harper
  • 4th Stage, Sales Challenge: Please note that not all candidates will move forward to the fourth stage. Candidates who do not move forward will receive feedback on their challenge submission.
    • 4th Stage, Presentation: Present sales challenge to a panel of peers, discuss your solution, and answer additional questions (60 -90-minute Zoom session).
  • 5th Stage, Executive Interview: 30-minute get-to-know-you Zoom conversation with Harper co-founders.
