Job Title: Trade Show Inventory & Asset Technician

Job Summary

The Trade Show Inventory & Asset Technician is responsible for managing, auditing, and maintaining trade show exhibits, fixtures, displays, and structural components. This role ensures all trade show assets are accurately inventoried, inspected for quality and damage, and properly prepared for shipment. The technician is responsible for safely uncrating, assembling as needed for inspection, disassembling, and recrating exhibit materials while maintaining detailed inventory records and ensuring all assets are event-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit and maintain inventory of trade show exhibits, fixtures, display components, and structural systems.
  • Inspect exhibit structures, hardware, and fixtures for damage, wear, or missing components.
  • Verify inventory accuracy using inventory management systems, spreadsheets, or barcode scanning.
  • Uncrate incoming trade show materials and carefully inspect contents against packing lists.
  • Recrate exhibits, fixtures, and equipment using proper packing techniques to prevent shipping damage.
  • Organize warehouse inventory to maximize storage efficiency and accessibility.
  • Document inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and repair needs.
  • Label, tag, and track all exhibit assets and shipping containers.
  • Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs or coordinate repairs on exhibit components when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Work closely with project managers, logistics teams, and warehouse personnel to prepare exhibits for upcoming events.
  • Follow company safety procedures and proper handling techniques for exhibit materials and equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or trade show experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read packing lists, inventory reports, and shipping documentation.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
  • Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly; heavier items with team assistance or equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Ability to safely move large exhibit crates and structural components.

  • Trade show, exhibit, event production, or convention services experience.
  • Warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Crating, packaging, and shipping of high-value equipment or displays.
  • Experience handling modular exhibit systems, aluminum framing, lighting, graphics, and display fixtures.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring all trade show assets are accurately accounted for, properly maintained, securely packed, and ready for successful deployment at events.

$27 - $28 USD
