By submitting your resume, you’ll join our talent community, and we’ll keep you informed about future Analyst opportunities that match your expertise and aspirations.

The Position

Harris Associates is a Chicago-based, buy-side investment management firm with $96 billion of assets under management. At our core, we are value investors. Our analysts employ a fundamental-focused, bottom-up research process to identify undervalued companies in the public market. We view a share of stock as ownership in a business and invest with a multi-year time horizon. Our research analysts are generalists, meaning they can recommend any company as an investment idea regardless of business sector or cap size. Our generalist model lends itself to frequent collaboration and debate among our analyst team, which we view as vital to our investment decision-making process. Our unique culture and investment process has led to strong performance for our clients for more than four decades.

The US Investment Associate is responsible for assisting analysts in identifying investment opportunities, assessing intrinsic value, and articulating the case for ideas to the US investment team. Associates will utilize a rigorous and thorough investigative process including company visits, meetings with industry contacts, detailed financial analysis, and other appropriate research tools to identify attractive and evaluate investments. They will work directly with analysts in interacting with company management teams, developing contacts to further industry knowledge, analyzing financial information relating to how an organization is positioned, developing detailed financial models to estimate intrinsic value and communicating their findings to the US research team.

  • Contribute to investment process by sharing opinions on businesses and challenging existing group beliefs
  • Develop and maintain research tools including models, databases, and spreadsheets
