2026 Summer Internship - RFP
Position Summary:
The Request for Proposal (RFP) team is responsible for submitting proposals in an effort to win new business and retain existing investors at Harris | Oakmark. The RFP team utilizes an online system called Responsive to store and organize content. The system has introduced AI capabilities; however, the content needs to be broken-up and organized in order for the AI functionality to work. The RFP team consists of a manager, team lead, and senior associate, and these individuals will support the overall project. The RFP team is part of the Firm's broader Distribution team.
The primary purpose of this internship is to support our RFP team in organizing and preparing the content management software (Responsive) for AI implementation. Responsive currently has over 900 question and answer pairs which need to be divided and stored in order to implement the system's AI functionality. The project will also entail coding content (i.e., 'tagging') and working with the team's content library taxonomy to fulfill and expedite questionnaire completion.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- In concert with Team Leader, quickly learn how Responsive is organized and how it functions
- Engage and immerse in system to break-up content Q&A responses
- Tag content in accordance with established taxonomies and make recommendations
- In concert with Team Leader and Manager, test AI functionality
- Lead a 12-week project to prepare content for AI implementation
- Participate in calls with Responsive vendor and report/rectify system shortcomings
- Test AI capabilities and train team members about key learnings
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Business, Education, Communications or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Bonus: Writing, technology/database systems (e.g., AI, ChatGPT, cloud-based content management software)
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Actual annual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. Full-time base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and is only one part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include a discretionary performance bonus and other Harris sponsored benefit programs.
