Job Summary

 

The Warehouse Supervisor performs all functions needed to ensure the accuracy of inventory related to Raw material and finished goods. He/she is responsible for the supervision of all warehouse and shipping/receiving operations.

 

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Identifies root cause of inventory discrepancies and initiates procedures to ensure issue is resolved.
  • Ensures materials are received in to correct locations both physically and in the ERP system.
  • Manages inventory for all items including finished goods, raw materials, production materials, packaging supplies.
  • Orders packaging materials and warehouse goods as needed.
  • Works with the head of Supply Chain/ Inventory Management to develop and schedule inventory cycle counts, to ensure accuracy and maintain strict records.
  • Leads regular cycle counts, quarterly and annual physical inventory counts.
  • Works in collaboration with the pharmacy/production staff to maintain adequate inventory for critical supplies needed for production.
  • Analyzes inventory records and transactions daily to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Develops SOP’s and procedures for all inventory processes.
  • Works with Pharmacy/Production staff to ensure FIFO is followed and enforced.
  • Creates an efficient space utilization plan.
  • Notifies supply chain management of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability.
  • Manages offsite storage facilities and ensures accuracy of inventory in those locations.
  • Ensures all activities performed are done so in compliance with all corporate/site policies.
  • Notifies procurement of any defects related to purchased goods in a timely manner.
  • Resolve all discrepancies among purchasing, receiving and accounts payable in a timely manner.
  • Analyze material status and alert management for changes that may cause impact to delivery schedule.
  • Direct material transfers from warehouses to accomplish scheduling changes and mitigate delays and material issues.
  • This role would spend approximately 2 hours per week, buying all of the warehouse/shipping items (boxes, bags, coolers, bins, etc.) As this person became more acclimated to our processes, I would add certain labs supplies to their purchasing responsibilities such as lab ware, sterile tools, etc.
  • Maintain current and projected shortage reports for management review.
  • Performs other duties and assume responsibilities as appropriate or assigned.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

 

  • Requires Associates Degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Warehouse inventory management, preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferred.
  • Experience in a cGMP regulated manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma, preferred.
  • Understand planning policies and procedures
  • Must be able to facilitate collaboration, while knowing when to move to end analysis and recommend decisions.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in database management and documentation preparation (Word, PowerPoint, Excel,) required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and exercise sound business judgment with critical thinking skills and high ethical standards, while being a team player.
