Job Summary
The Business Engagement Manager (BEM) is responsible for managing and expanding business within an assigned base of Ophthalmology and Retina customers, both new and existing. Serving as a key member of the commercial team, this position plays a critical role in driving growth, managing GPO contracts, conducting quarterly business reviews, and developing deep executive-level account relationships.
The BEM will promote Harrow’s posterior portfolio offerings, ensure customer retention, and support market penetration across assigned accounts. Success in this role requires strategic planning, strong communication, and highly effective stakeholder collaboration. This individual should reside within the designated territory and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
Core Responsibilities
- Communicate, educate, and explain posterior portfolio GPO contract offerings to practices/ASCs and executive leadership using approved materials.
- Act as the primary liaison between Harrow and assigned accounts.
- Utilize the CRM platform to manage activity, document interactions, and track business outcomes.
- Partner compliantly with Marketing, Field Sales, GPO, Market Access, and Inside Sales to execute business strategies.
- Manage travel and training budgets responsibly.
- Monitor and grow Harrow’s market share across portfolio products in assigned territory.
- Evaluate customer, competitive, and market trends and share insights with internal partners.
- Support access and reimbursement solutions; triage customer issues when appropriate.
- Deploy resources to optimize customer success and satisfaction.
- Maintain high collaboration with the Area Sales Director and Key Account Management team on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5–10+ years of strategic Retina and/or Ophthalmology sales experience (Ophthalmic market experience strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred (additional experience may substitute for MBA)
- Proven success executing targeted business plans tied to priority initiatives
- Demonstrated C-suite engagement, executive presentation skills, and follow-through
- Positive, collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong emotional intelligence
- Strong written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills
- Strategic and creative problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while upholding high ethical standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

- Remote (must live in TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, AL, GA, or FL panhandle)
