The Harry's Inc working model is in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our beautiful 70,000 square foot SoHo office is decked out with bagels on Wednesdays and lunch on Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday.  Can’t forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom!

The Team:

Andy Katz-Mayfield is the co-founder and co-CEO of Harry’s Inc. He oversees all of our business units and enterprise functions and is responsible for setting the company vision and driving our strategy to achieve that vision. We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Executive Business Manager to support Andy and his Chief of Staff. You will join the Office of the CEO, a small but mighty team, that directly supports the C-suite and Harry’s Inc. organization at large. 

 

The Role:

The Executive Business Manager, Office of the CEO will serve as an essential partner to Andy and his Chief of Staff and will be an active participant of the Harry’s EA community. This role does not neatly fit within the confines of the 9 - 6 day, so we’re looking for a go-getter who’s eager to be flexible and available, even outside traditional working hours. Andy splits time between NYC and LA, so we’re seeking someone who is willing to go above and beyond to build relationships. This means an openness to traveling to LA on occasion (<10% of the time). Because the role (and our team!) is dynamic, this person must possess strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of senior stakeholders and job functions. This highly organized and endlessly resourceful person will support Andy and his CoS primarily with strategic, operational and tactical responsibilities including (1) administrative needs, (2) strategic programs and event management, and (3) operations management.

 

This role is based out of Harry’s New York City office in SoHo with in-person attendance required 3-days/week (Tuesday through Thursday).

 

What you will accomplish:

 

Executive Support & Administrative Needs

  • Serve as Andy’s Executive Assistant, providing the highest caliber of administrative support on complex calendar management and scheduling, meeting logistics, travel itineraries, expense reports, and other responsibilities 
  • Ensure Andy is prepared for all meetings and personal and professional events by soliciting agendas, creating itineraries, making reservations, printing materials, and coordinating briefings 
  • For key, routine meetings that the Andy leads and/or attends, work closely with Andy’s Chief of Staff to construct meeting agendas, ensure effective preparation (e.g., sending pre-reads, confirming that technology functions, etc.), note taking, and driving follow-ups and next steps
  • Be an active member of the broader EA community at Harry’s, attending monthly meetings, contributing to best practices and knowledge sharing, and assisting with back-up coverage
  • Be an effective liaison and build strong relationships with executives and colleagues across various teams, with Andy’s family and close personal network, and with senior-level external stakeholders, such as investors, consultants, and Board members 
  • Serve as a positive ambassador on behalf of Harry’s, Inc by consistently acting in a way that leaves people with a positive perception of the company while truly embodying our values
  • Handle confidential information and communications with maturity and discretion

Strategic Event Planning 

  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute the most complex, large-scale strategic events and special projects that Andy sponsors (e.g., annual Global Leadership Offsite, cyclical Leadership planning sessions, etc.)
  • Manage all aspects of event planning and coordination for the above including venue selection, contract negotiation and vendor management, budgeting, high-level agenda planning, attendee coordination, communications and day-of execution
  • Partner closely with Andy’s Chief of Staff to drive and support more holistic content development for these types of sessions; this includes building presentation materials, project managing cross-functional stakeholders to deadlines, etc.
  • Ensure events align with company goals and effectively showcase our brand

Operations Management 

  • Own the Harry’s Inc Leadership Team’s annual calendar; set the cadence and operating rhythm of offsites, monthly/quarterly business reviews, and other business-critical forums
  • Partner closely with Andy’s Chief of Staff to support Harry’s Inc. Board governance and management; this includes liaising with board members to set and manage the annual board calendar, coordinate meeting agendas, and ensure flawless day-of execution
  • Partner closely with Andy’s Chief of Staff and other key functional leads (e.g. Comms and Finance) to liaise with critical external stakeholders, like media outlets and investors, around important events and speaking engagements
  • Consistently look for ways to streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies and share recommendations
  • Support special projects and initiatives as directed by Andy and his Chief of Staff

 

This should describe you:

  • You are proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (or the Google Workspace equivalents); this means you’re comfortable building slides in PPT and performing basic formulas and skills in excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlook-ups, etc.)
  • You’re exceptionally detail oriented: You are a perfectionist who never lets anything fall through the cracks. You close every loop, spot every error, and look around corners to make sure every detail is perfect.
  • You’re proactive: Some might call it pushy, but we just think you’re proactive. You’re always three steps ahead, and know how to manage senior executives to help them avoid pitfalls.
  • You possess foresight: If you had a superpower, it would be the ability to see (and plan) around corners. You know there’s a problem – and you know how to fix it – before anyone else.
  • You’re a creative problem solver: There’s no sticky situation that you can’t wiggle your way out of, and you always come to the table with solutions.
  • You’re a pro at multitasking: You have the ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects at the same time and can easily context switch and redirect attention based on shifting priorities.
  • You’re an excellent cross-functional project manager: You know what it takes to run a tight process, providing clear guidance, tracking towards deadlines, and working through people.
  • You’re a great communicator with an executive presence: You can communicate nuance effectively to anyone, and you know how to modify your tone and content based on who you’re speaking to. Whether it’s in an email, over the phone, or in person, you know how to get things done through your ability to clearly and professionally express yourself. You have experience with senior-level stakeholders and investors and know how to interface effectively. 
  • You’re hardworking: You are endlessly reliable, trustworthy, and consistent in your ability to produce the highest quality work. Everyone counts on you all the time, and you always come through. Whether it’s coordinating on-site catering, or executing a large-scale event, you’re down for anything, big or small.
  • You exercise good judgment: You’re trustworthy and exercise good judgment with the most confidential and sensitive information. You know how to tactfully navigate requests for information that may not be best shared; you help to put out, rather than flame, rumors and gossip. 
  • You’re a people person: You’re curious about people, energized by forming relationships, getting to know people, and working with and through them. 

 

Here's who you will work with:

  • Report to Andy’s Chief of Staff
  • Partner closely with Andy to understand his needs, priorities and preferences
  • Work closely with the Harry’s Inc. Leadership team (C-suite)
  • Work cross functionally with Executive Assistants and Global Leadership in NYC, London, and Germany
  • Liaise with critical external stakeholders, including investors and the Board of Directors

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $100,000-$125,950, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
