Senior Market Distribution Planner – Warehouse Lead (UK/Ireland & Nordics)

Based in Stockley Park, Uxbridge, West London, UK

Hybrid working: three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), with flexibility to work from home on Monday and Friday.

If you enjoy solving complex supply challenges, influencing cross-functional teams and keeping service on track, this could be a great next step for you. As Senior Market Distribution Planner – Warehouse Lead, you will play a key role in protecting customer service and driving short-term execution across your assigned warehouse, distribution centre or geographic area in Europe.

You will turn demand plans into practical execution decisions, managing priorities across arrivals, shortages, allocations, stock transfers, launches and service risks in the 0–4 month horizon. This is a fast-paced role where you will spot issues early, drive action quickly and help keep the business moving.

Working closely with Commercial, Customer Service, Supply, Logistics and Demand Planning, you will be at the centre of decision-making, helping teams respond to challenges, improve execution and share best practices across the wider MDP organization.

What you’ll do -

Drive supply visibility and short-term execution

  • Lead weekly reviews of your warehouse operation, identifying risks across inbound deliveries, customer orders, stock availability, key activations and service performance.
  • Run local execution routines and represent your area in regional planning discussions, bringing clear recommendations and next steps.
  • Work with key stakeholders to put fast, practical mitigation plans in place that protect service and revenue.

Manage priorities, constraints and critical decisions

  • Manage allocations, stock reservations, stock transfers and other short-term levers to help the business respond to changing priorities.
  • Manage frozen window change requests with the right level of control, evidence and stakeholder alignment.
  • Escalate key trade-offs and service risks at the right time so decisions can be made quickly and effectively.

Support inventory health and product lifecycle execution

  • Monitor inventory health, excess stock, launches and phase-out plans, helping to keep the operation efficient and customer-focused.
  • Support key operational activities such as reworks, displays, cancellations and closeout processes.

Partner across teams and improve ways of working

  • Be the key link between your market or warehouse area and central supply teams on service, availability and execution topics.
  • Share clear feedback with Demand Planning on service issues, demand changes and inventory risks that may need replanning.
  • Use standard tools and dashboards, support process consistency and help identify improvements in training, systems and ways of working.

What you’ll bring -

  • Strong planning or supply chain execution experience, ideally in distribution, inventory, customer service or market planning.
  • Good understanding of short-term planning, service risk management, allocations, reservations, stock transfers and inventory controls.
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix environment and manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of SAP or similar execution systems, Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or a related field is desirable.

Technical strengths

  • Able to analyze order books, arrivals, availability, supply constraints and customer priorities to recommend practical actions.
  • Able to manage short-term governance processes such as frozen window controls, exception logs, action tracking and escalation routines.
  • Good understanding of inventory health, launch readiness, phase-out execution and the operational impact of demand changes.
  • Able to prepare clear service risk updates and communicate them to operational and commercial stakeholders.
  • Comfortable coordinating multiple execution activities at the same time while maintaining strong data discipline and auditability.

Ways of working

  • Strong ownership of service and execution results within your assigned area.
  • Proactive, organized, and action-oriented, with good judgment on what to resolve and what to escalate.
  • Collaborative and service-focused, with the confidence to challenge requests that do not align with process or supply reality.
  • Disciplined in follow-up, action tracking and the use of standard tools and playbooks.
  • Resilient under pressure and able to stay structured in a fast-moving operational environment.
