Business Operations Manager

Renton, Washington, United States

We take play seriously. We’re looking for curious adventurers ready to find their party, fueled by imagination and drive to build what’s never been built before. At Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, you’ll collaborate with passionate teams to reimagine our iconic brands and create experiences that spark joy, connection, and community through the magic of play. This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.

We are seeking a Manager, Business Operations to keep licensing deals moving from term sheet to signature for our Digital Licensing & Partnerships team. Reporting to the VP, Digital Licensing & Partnerships, you'll be the first point of contact for licensees on contract matters and lead our integration into Hasbro's Rightsline instance, working closely with Business Operations, Business Development, Production, Marketing Legal, and Finance across PC/Console and Mobile/Casino categories.

This role combines contract know-how, attention to detail, and cross-functional fluency. You'll work within Legal-approved templates and guidelines, with Legal retaining responsibility for legal advice and approval of non-standard terms. Success will come from shorter contract cycle times, accurate rights data, and a contracting process that scales as the business grows.

This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in our Renton, WA office.

A Day in the Life as a Manager, Business Operations:
● Serve as the first point of contact for licensees on contract matters, preparing agreements from Legal-approved templates, leading first-pass redlines, and escalating non-standard terms to Legal.
● Lead our integration into Rightsline, partnering with Hasbro's Rightsline system owner on deal and rights record setup, data migration, workflows, and governance.
● Maintain accurate rights and deal records, including term, territory, royalty, and minimum guarantee (MG) data, and partner with Finance on royalty tracking and reporting.
● Track contracts across the deal pipeline with the Director, Business Operations, flagging delays and open issues before they slow deals down.
● Translate business terms into clear contract language alongside Business Development leads, so they spend less time drafting redlines themselves.
● Build playbooks, templates, and clause libraries with Legal, including our Sr Attorney and Paralegal, to speed up future deals and reduce rework.
● Answer contract status and deal-terms questions from BD, Finance, and other partners, routing legal questions to Legal and providing overflow support on NDAs and services agreements.

What You'll Bring:
● 6+ years' experience in Contract administration, licensing operations, or legal support experience, ideally in gaming, media, or entertainment
● Hands-on experience preparing and negotiating licensing agreements, including royalty structures and minimum guarantee (MG) mechanics?
● Working knowledge of IP licensing concepts, including copyright and trademark
● Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience working directly with external partners and across BD, Finance, and Legal
● Organizational skills to manage many contracts at once as priorities shift
● Experience with Rightsline or a similar rights or contract management system a plus
● Familiarity with video game licensing a plus
