The Opportunity

Our Sourcing and Supply Chain team is growing and we're looking for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain to join us in our mission to help people get their best sleep. This role will work very closely with the US Instock team at Hatch and our manufacturers to make sure we can fulfill the customer needs while balancing the inventory. This person will be based in Guangdong Province, China. Hatch is based out of California, so this role would be asked to be available during PST/PDT hours on occasion for meetings. This position will require travel 10% to 25% of the time.

What You’ll Do

Within 3 Months:

• Become intimately familiar with the entire product portfolio and factory base.
• Become intimately familiar with the end to end PO process, including planning, order, shipment and payment.
• Build close relationships with the Hatch instock/US supply chain to understand existing processes, ways of working, etc.
• Understand the capabilities of our current factories and the demand of our current products.
• Coordinate with factories and Instock team to make sure all the POs are shipping on time.

Within 6 Months:

• Start making tools using VBA or other software to automate the forecasting/order process.
• Analyze the entire logistic cost, do benchmarking and identify savings opportunities.
• Work with forwarders/suppliers to drive logistic optimization and shorten the purchase lead time.
• Build up a seasonal index.

After 1 Year:

• Setup reports, visually show products inventory status, healthy/unhealthy inventory, OOS risk, sales trends etc. to enhance the visibility on the overall inventory status.

What You’ll Bring

• Knowledge of supply chain management and operations, familiarity with all inco-terms and payment terms.
• Minimum 7 years experience with import/export consumer products.
• Solid excel data analysis skills. BA experience is a plus.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversant in English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• An ability to think creatively and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Process oriented with high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities concurrently.
